Second Story Interactive Studios Receives Innovation In Media Arts Award

In Oregon we are blessed to have people who know how to tell stories.  Storytelling has always been a part of Oregon’s DNA.  We have great novelists, great song-writers, and great filmmakers.  We also have great innovative storytellers.  One such group of innovative storytellers is Second Story Interactive Studios.  Founded in 1994 by Julie Beeler and Brad Johnson, Second Story is thought of as one of the leaders in the interactive industry, collecting over 400 awards and accolades.

Governor Kitzhaber and Steve Oster Present Oregon Film Office’s Film Advocate Awards To Portland Police Bureau and Portland Parks

At Oregon Film & Television’s Annual Meeting last night, we were able to honor some amazing Film Advocates who have been integral to the film and television industry.

Oregon made feature film Cell Count now available on VOD.

PORTLAND, Oregon (December 20th, 2012)  The feature film “Cell Count” made it’s World Premiere at this year’s Fantaspoa Film Festival in Brazil on May 20th.  Since then it has gone to the Macabro Film Festival in Mexico, the Montreal HorrorFest in Canada, Sitges Film Festival in Spain, Rojo Sangre Film Festival in Argentina, Montevideo Fantastico Film Festival in Uruguay, Another Hole in the Head Film Festival in the USA, and Celluloid Screams in the UK.  Director Todd E. Bent Produced Hallmark Sequel “Jingle and Bell’s Christmas Star” to Premiere November 23 on Hallmark Channel

This media release just came out about the next installment of Bent Image Lab’s holiday specials.  You’ll remember that last year Bent produced the original “Jingle All the Way” and this year they have already produced Hallmark’s “Hoops and Yo Yo” Halloween special.  This marks their third project with the Hallmark Channel.

Bent Image Lab and Hallmark Channel  are excited to present “Jingle and Bell’s Christmas Star” the sequel to the critically acclaimed stop motion production “Jingle All the Way”.

“The Digits” Nominated for Best Educational Web Series by IAWTV

Portland produced “Appisode” “The Digits” recently was nominated as Best Educational Web Series by the International Academy of Web Television.  The IAWTV is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of web television.  The award ceremony will be in Las Vegas during the International Consumer Electronic Show January 8.  Congrats to creator Scotti Iseri and his entire team on the nomination and best of luck in January!  Don’t know about “The Digits”?  See below their most recent media release. Second Half of 2012 is Booming With Indie Film Production in Oregon

Oregon has always been known as a great place for the independent film scene, and 2012 is no exception.  Since July, there have been four independent films that have been accepted as a part of the Indigenous Oregon Production Investment Fund which was created in 2009. PORTLAND, Oregon (October 15, 2012) The Feature Films The Weather Outside and Cell Count are screening on two nights at two Oregon film festivals.

First up is The Weather Outside and its World Premiere at this year’s Eugene International Film Festival.  The Weather Outside is the story of Max who “finds himself separated from his family on Christmas Eve.
