#OregonMade, horror-thriller, “The Rental,” recently sold the US film rights to IFC. This is the first feature directed by Dave Franco, (“If Beale Street Could Talk,” “The Disaster Artist”) and was shot on location in the seaside town of Bandon. Starring, Alison Brie (“Community,” “GLOW,”) Dan Stevens (“Downton Abbey,” FX series, “Legion”) Jeremy Allen White (“Shameless”) and Sheila Vand (“24: Legacy,”) the story takes place at the coast when two couples “rent a vacation home for what should be a celebratory weekend get-away” but descends into something much more sinister. 8th Stop On The Historic Oregon Film Trail – Hammond Marina, Warrenton

Yesterday, at the Hammond Marina, Warrenton, the 8th sign on the Historic Oregon Film Trail was unveiled.  For film buffs, Oregon is a haven of locations and stories from more than 100 years of filmmaking. Inspired by these nostalgic backdrops, The Historic Oregon Film Trail, launched in Astoria earlier this year was designed to identify iconic set locations around the state. HouseSpecial signs Director John Robson

Robson brings a digitally-rich portfolio that includes the Vimeo Staff Pick CG short Quality Time and memorable content for brands including Xbox One X, Nike, IBM, Apple, Gnarls Barkley and Campbell’s Soup. A Southern California native, Robson refined his accomplished narrative sensibilities in Los Angeles at studios such as Blind, ManvsMachine, Brand New School and Motion Theory.

The Portland Circuit Presents #OregonMade Feature Film Debut: “Phoenix, Oregon”

The OregonMade Creative Foundation has teamed up with four of the best independent cinemas located in all four of the quadrants of Portland, The Northwest Film Center, The Hollywood Theatre, Clinton Street Theater and Cinema 21, to announce the second installment of The Portland Circuit, a program designed to give locally produced, #OregonMade feature length films a short theatrical distribution window in the city. Oregon’s International Bohemian Film Festival Announces ‘Big Sonia’ as Grand Prize Winner

The winning filmmaker, Leah Warshawski and her Oregon-raised animator, Dawn Norton, received a $3,000 grand prize as the Best Film. The winner aims to take the proceeds to launch high school curricula about overcoming the obstacles of our past and becoming stronger.

COTTAGE GROVE, ORE., 18 AUGUST 2018 – “Big Sonia” won the overall $3,000 Grand Prize at this weekend’s inaugural Bohemian Film Festival. #OregonMade Netflix Series, “Everything Sucks” Will Premiere Feb 16th, 2018

Everything Sucks” is the latest #OregonMade series to hit TV screens and set to air February 16th.  This newest Netflix series is described as a high school coming-of-age dramedy, set in the late 1990’s in Boring, Oregon.  It shot 10 episodes last year in Oregon City, Boring and Fort Rock.

“Everything Sucks” was created by Ben York Jones, and Michael Mohan, and is produced by Midnight Radio.  The series is described as a, “quirky, funny coming-of-age story that follows two groups of high school misfits, an A/V club and a Drama club who collide in 1996 Oregon.
