Become A Part Of Seaside, An Oregon Indie Revenge Thriller

Seaside was shot in Portland and the Coast in April with some great New York actors, including Ariana DeBose (Hamilton), and some wonderful Portland actors, including Jana Lee Hamblin, Haley Talbot, Bob Olin, Victoria Blake, Jennie Vaughn, and Brandt Leeds, all cast by Simon Max Hill.

Portland producer is Alyssa Roehrenbeck, Cinematographer Phil Anderson, and Production Designer Jade Harris. And our composer, Megan Diana McGeorge, is the creator of Portland’s Piano.Push.Play.

We also had tremendous in-kind support from local businesses (Mother’s Bistro, Batter, Gearhead, Kroerner Camera, city of Seaside, Funland Arcade, Water Avenue Coffee, and many more).

“The Librarians” S3 Premieres Sunday

"The Librarians" Season 3TNT’s drama, “The Librarians” will  return to screens this Sunday, November 20th. The opening episode will feature the submarine that is parked outside OMSI, as well as many other Portland locations.
The show stars; Rebecca Romijin, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth, John Kim, John Larroquette, series veteran, Noah Wyle, and this season, Vanessa Williams.

Local Studios Are Saving Both Energy And Money Using LED Lighting

Our clients aSkypanel S60 Cre  saving significantly thanks to wider adoption of the new LED lighting technology. The potential power  differential can as as great as 75% when compared to incandescent lighting. Although LED lighting has been around for a decade it’s use in Film/ TV production has been limited largely to panel lights. Which were mainly used in field production. In that context they were competing to replace existing fixtures which pulled less than 15 Amps. Which is the capacity of most household plugs.

Horror Film Festival Haunts Southern Oregon On Nov. 12th

official-poster-2016Returning to Ashland, OR for it’s 8th installment, the Killer Valley Horror Film Festival (KVHFF) is a celebration of independent horror and science fiction movies from around the globe. A one-night affair, geared to film-goers 18 years and older, the festival showcases genres that are arguably the most fun for independent filmmakers to create, and provides an atmosphere for horror fans to watch in a more social environment than a typical theater setting. Audiences often dress in costume, and the festival offers Special FX Makeup Booths in case viewers want to feel like a zombie for the night.

In this fresh and funny retelling of our history, two Janes traverse The Oregon Trail. “Now Jane” is playing the computer game in 1997; “Then Jane” is in a covered wagon in 1848.

"You can get your basic needs, but what about something that makes you feel like you exist? This works." Talilo Marfil, program alum and board member

Inspire homeless and marginalized youth with your knowledge and expertise. Outside the Frame seeks local Cinematographers, Sound Mixers, Gaffers, Editors, Composers, Animators, and other film industry professionals to join for our pool of paid mentors. Full and half day workshops sessions or post production work available.

Outside the Frame changes how homeless and marginalized youth see and are seen through film. We offer intensive film workshops and weekly programming where participants learn film making from pre-production to broadcast and create original films as a group.
