The November 7th celebration will feature our best work yet (again), which we couldn’t do without your support!

The lineup includes “American Teenager,” a slice of life drama about a girl living in a motel and “The Spot,” a comedy about young people crammed into their first apartment. Reel Ambitions will also premiere “My Shoes,” a music video by OTF alumnus Talilo Marfil featuring legendary indie rapper Tech N9ne. Amplify Portland Filmmaker Production Grant – Submission Period Sept 19 to Oct 7

In partnership with Travel Portland, the Portland Events and Film Office at Prosper Portland is excited to offer the second year of a new grant opportunity created to amplify previously unheard stories of Portlanders. The Amplify Portland: Local Filmmakers Production Grant aims to create opportunity for filmmakers utilizing local talent, crew and vendors during production. Our focus is on the professional development of the local industry and bringing exposure to Portland via its presence on screen.

The 21st Annual Bend Film Festival in 2024 comes to Bend October 10 through 13, 2024. Screen over 100 films from the Tower Theatre to Madras and join 125 filmmakers from all over the country.

Finding Space for Independent Cinema

When my husband Davon and I started production on our film, A Public Space, we had little idea of what to expect. The film centers on the fate of the now defunct College Hill Reservoir in Eugene, Oregon, and explores the larger significance of public space. While Davon is an accomplished editor, this was our first filmmaking collaboration, and although we deeply believed in the idea, we weren’t sure how it would be received in the community.
