— With two guest speakers, producers Janice Williams and Darren Demetre!

It’s a real coup to have these two seasoned producers at ISA PDX. Janice and Darren have worked together on several projects, including CONFIRMATION and THE FINAL GIRLS. Between them, they have scores of TV and feature credits, and will talk about the script to screen process from their perspective in the trenches.

#OregonMade “Clementine” Will Premiere At Tribeca

#OregonMade “Clementine” will have its world premiere at Tribeca 2019 and is to be shown in the US Narrative Feature Competition.  Tribeca 2019 will take place April 24-May 5th in New York City.

“Clementine” was directed and written by, Lara Jean Gallagher,  and produced by Aimee Lynn Barneburg, Davis Priestley, and Karina Ripper.

The movie takes place in Oregon (Florence and Portland) – “reeling from a one-sided breakup, heartbroken Karen breaks into her ex’s lakehouse. POWGirls Announces Three Workshops For Spring And Summer 2019


The Portland Oregon Women’s Film Festival is excited to announce the POWGirls workshops for spring and summer of 2019.
The POWGirls Media Education Program launched in March of 2014 and has hosted thirteen successful workshops, producing 19 films and serving over 100 girls and non-binary youth in the Portland metro area.

Our mission is to help girls and non-binary youth, 15-19, realize their power, creativity and voice in media production and encourage them to explore opportunities as future media-makers. We want to encourage participants to be creative, tech-savvy leaders who will help realize gender equity in media industries. Debra Granik Wins Best Director from LAFCA For #OregonMade “Leave No Trace”

The L.A. Film Critic Association (LAFCA) awarded Debra Granik with Best Director for her #OregnMade film, “Leave No Trace.”  The winners will be awarded their honors at the January 12th gala in Century City.  Congrats Debra!

We always knew that #OregonMade films, series, docs, animation and interactive games were among the best in the nation – but now the New York Times has validated our belief. Both Debra Granik’s “Leave No Trace” and Andrew Haigh’s “Lean on Pete” appear on the paper’s recent “Best of” list – that’s 2 out of 8, not bad. WORKING LUNCH Short Film by Shilpa Sunthankar to have Portland Premiere

Portland, Oregon – December 3, 2018 – The much anticipated short film, WORKING LUNCH, by Portland-based Director and Producer, Shilpa Sunthankar, is set to have the Portland Premiere on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at The Whitsell Auditorium. Director Shilpa Sunthankar will be in attendance.The film previously had a successful world premiere at the 19th Annual Filmi: Toronto’s South Asian Film Festival and was selected as part of the 2018 Fall Screening Series by New Filmmakers, New York.

The#OregonMade Creative Foundation alongside the Northwest Film Center, the Hollywood Theatre, the Clinton Street Theater, and Cinema 21 announce the first film selected for a unique theatrical distribution program for locally produced feature films.

The Portland Circuit, a collaboration between the #OregonMade Creative Foundation, the Northwest Film Center, the Hollywood Theatre, the Clinton St. Theater, and Cinema 21, has been created to provide a local theatrical run for #OregonMade feature films. Portland Post-Production Film Grant Now Open

The Portland Film Office, in partnership with Oregon Made Creative Foundation (OMCF), invites local filmmakers to apply for funding designed to encourage the completion of a local feature-length project and position producers to build towards larger, more resourced productions.

The Post-Production Film Grant Program supports the professional development of small, local filmmakers by providing funds for activities including sound design, scoring, editing, color correction, closed captioning, VFX, and music clearances using local post-production houses.
