#OregonMade Producers Neil Kopp & Anish Savjani Win Emmy for “Rebel Ridge”

Prolific Portland-based producers Neil Kopp and Anish Savjani recently won an Emmy for “Rebel Ridge” as Best TV Movie. Kopp and Savjani’s production company, filmscience, has produced many award winning features including the acclaimed Sundance and Netflix hit “I Don’t Feel At Home in This World Anymore,” and Kelly Reichardt’s most recent film “The Mastermind.”

Formed in 2005, filmscience has produced over 20 features that have been nominated for numerous Independent Spirit Awards and screened at festivals around the world, including Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, Toronto, Sundance and Telluride. Emmys Nominations with Oregon Connections

Although we aren’t lucky enough this year to have any projects that were shot here in Oregon being nominated for an Emmy award, we do have several people who live here in Oregon that have been part of the nominations. In fact, that is one of the stronger selling points of Oregon, our talent. Sometimes that talent isn’t able to work in our state but we like to celebrate them anyway.

“The Mastermind” from Portland Based filmscience Goes to Cannes

Kelly Reichardt’s latest film “The Mastermind” has been announced as part of the main competition titles at the Cannes Film festival in May. Although shot in Ohio, the film was produced by Oregon based Neil Kopp and Anish Savjani (alongside partner Vincent Savino) and their filmscience label.

The film centers on an audacious art heist amidst the backdrop of the Vietnam War.

Many of Reichardt’s and filmscience’s previous films have been shot in Oregon.

“Showing Up” Collects Two Nominations – Gotham Awards

Nominees are selected by “committees of film and television critics, journalists, festival programmers, and film curators. #OregonMade “Showing Up” Premiering in Main Competition At Cannes

This morning the 2022 Cannes Film Festival announced its Official Selection.  We are excited to see #OregonMade, A24’s “Showing Up” nominated in the main competition group.  “Showing Up,” was directed by Kelly Reichardt, written by Reichardt and Oregonian, , and produced by Oregonians, Neil Kopp, Anish Savjani  and Vincent Savino (see all cast and crew here).
