Kelly Reichardt’s #OregonMade “Showing Up” To Be Released April 7th

Kelly Reichardt has shot six of her eight movies here in Oregon, the latest being the comedy-drama, “Showing Up” starring long-time collaborator, Michelle Williams, and Oregon writer, Jonathan Raymond (co-written by Reichart). “Showing Up” first premiered at the competing for the Palme d’Or.

#OregonMade “Showing Up” Premiering in Main Competition At Cannes

This morning the 2022 Cannes Film Festival announced its Official Selection. We are excited to see #OregonMade, A24’s “Showing Up” nominated in the main competition group. “Showing Up,” was directed by Kelly Reichardt, written by Reichardt and Oregonian, Jonathan Raymond, and produced by Oregonians, Neil Kopp, Anish Savjani and Vincent Savino (see all cast and crew here).

Watch Deadline Hollywood’s “2021 Contenders” Panel With the “First Cow” Filmmakers

Not surprisingly, Deadline Hollywood’s “Contenders 2021” series went live online this year highlighting their contender picks for productions in this upcoming award season. You can still see the interesting session with Todd McCarthy and the “First Cow” filmmakers that took place over the weekend. The team gets into some of the foodie history behind the film, what Oregon was like in 1820 before it ever became a state, and how Jonathan Raymond’s novel, “The Half-Light” inspired Kelly Reichardt to bring this story to life. “First Cow” In Main Progam At The 46th Telluride Film Festival

The 46th Telluride Film Festival line up included in its main program the #OregonMade feature, “First Cow.” The film is directed by Kelly Reichardt, based upon the novel by Jonathan Raymond (and written by Raymond and Reichardt) and produced by Neil Kopp, Anish Savjani and Vincent Savino. Many on the production team have worked together on other #OregonMade projects such as; “Wendy and Lucy,” “Night Moves” and “Meek’s Cutoff” among others.
