On May 9th at Cinema Pacific, there will be a staged reading of the feature script “Let’s Do It” written by U of O alum Bryce Zabel. The story is based on true events surrounding the making of the first feature length student film which was produced in 1929 at the University of Oregon. Local filmmaker Sam Drevo will present his newly released film Trout on the Wind on the amazing story of restoration and renewal of Trout Creek through removal of Hemlock Dam. Sam Drevo and Ralph Bloemers, both avid whitewater paddlers and river advocates, collaborated on this production telling the story through the words of the individuals directly involved in it, and those influenced by it.
