A Special “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” Retrospective October 5 at Willamette University


On October 5 at Willamette University’s Hudson Hall, the new Museum of Mental Health will be hosing a special event called “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest: A Retrospective”.  The event will include film highlights and a panel discussion on the making of the film based on Ken Kesey’s novel.  The film’s Louise Fletcher (she won an Academy Award for portraying Nurse Ratched) will be in attendance as well as documentary filmmakers Charles Kiselyak, and Antoine De Gaudemar.  Both Kiselyak and De Gaudemar produced documentaries on the making of the film. HOLLYWOOD THEATRE LAUNCHES NEW FILM EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Opens Media Lab, “Hollywood Theatre Studio” at Grant High School

(Portland, OR) September 21, 2011 – This fall, as funding for the arts in schools continues to face significant cuts, the nonprofit Hollywood Theatre is piloting multiple education programs, affording hundreds of young people the opportunity to explore filmmaking and animation.

A short film by Jon Meyer will premier at Kelly’s Olympian Wednesday, September 26th at 8pm FREE. The premier will also include the brand new music video for HEY HEY HEY, the new single from THE QUICK AND EASY BOYS. Top Gear USA – Can You Get From Portland to San Francisco On Just One Tank Of Gas?

We will find out tonight if it’s possible to drive from Portland to San Fransisco on just one tank of gas. The History Channel’s  Top Gear USA series, modeled after the UK BBC series of the same name, has a similar set up with weekly car challenges and rewards.  Tonight’s challenge takes presenters, Tanner Foust, Adam Ferrara and Rutledge Wood from Portland to San Francisco without  being allowed to fill up.  Whomever makes it closest to San Francisco wins the chance to drive the “toughest off road machine in the world” in a race in the Colorado mountains.  Continue reading... “Top Gear USA – Can You Get From Portland to San Francisco On Just One Tank Of Gas?”

The Leviathan is Headed Your Way…

Recently, we announced that our debut film, Nightscape will be showing at the Montreal Comiccon Horrorfest. Nightscape was one of 15 films selected by the festival as part of its initial feature film lineup. The festival, which runs from September 14th through the 16th in Montreal, Quebec, will showcase a total of 30 features from around the globe.

Nightscape is about an emotionally-guarded drifter who crosses paths with a phantom car responsible for a wave of supernatural violence. Independent Feature, “The A-List” Wraps

We stopped by the set last week on the penultimate day of shooting for “The A-List“, an independent comedy feature  about a high school senior who is “coerced by his guidance counselor into fulfilling a list of all of her high school fantasies in order for him to graduate”.  This is a first feature to be produced for writer D.J.
