Success of Oregon’s Film and TV industry highlighted in Hollywood Reporter

Recently the media that covers the film and television industry has taken notice in all the work happening in the state.  In the web based trade “The Wrap”, a recent article about the state of the TV industry mentioned Portland as a city on the rise for TV production. Bent Image Lab launches into Television Programming with “Jingle All the Way” for the Hallmark Channel

Bent Image Lab, the animation studio behind many successful commercials, music videos, shorts, and visual effects projects is now co-producing long format content for television. “Jingle All the Way”, a stop motion animated show for Hallmark Channel is Bent’s first endeavor into long form animation. Airing November 25th as part of Hallmark Channel’s “Countdown to Christmas”, “Jingle All the Way” is based off of an original storybook from Hallmark. The show was directed by Bent partner Chel White, produced by Bent’s Executive Producer Tsui Ling Toomer and executively produced by Bent Partner Ray Di Carlo and Hallmark’s Jodi Schade, Diana Stuart, Chad Harris, and Shawn McClaren. Portlandia Recycles! Season 2 Clip Available

Sneak Peak of “Grimm” – Cast describes pleasure of filming in Portland

In today’s People website, there is a good video sneak peak of “Grimm”.  Most of the cast is interviewed about the show.  Towards the end of the video the cast talks about the experience of filming in Portland.  Even though they are beginning to experience the pleasure of the rain coming back into the Northwest, the cast seems to be enjoying the experience.  Be sure to check out the video here. IFC Officially Announces 2nd Season Portlandia Air Date and Guest Stars

Today in the Hollywood Reporter, IFC officially announced the air date for the second season of “Portlandia”.  The show will premiere on January 9 at 10:00PM.  With the announcement came mention of more guest stars set to appear in the second season including Tim Robbins, Kristen Wiig and “30 Rock’s” Jack McBrayer.  Knowing that there were as many as 20 guest stars slated to appear in this second season, we can’t wait to hear who else showed up in Portland to do a bit on the show.  Continue reading... “IFC Officially Announces 2nd Season Portlandia Air Date and Guest Stars”

IFC Releases First Look at Season 2 of “Portlandia”

Attention local-organic-fair trade-tree hugging-bird loving Portlandians! The second season of IFC’s hit show “Portlandia” is currently in production in the City of Roses and promises just as much ridiculous hilarity as the first season. NBC Introduces “Grimm” to Television Critics Association

Grimm‘s been accumulating more and more positive word-of-mouth since it’s debut at Comic-Con in July and NBC took the opportunity to formally introduce the show to the Television Critics Association Monday afternoon along with the rest of its fall lineup. So far, the critics have plenty of good things to say.

Matt Roush from TV Guide says that, “NBC’s quirkiest fall show is unquestionably the fairy-tale-inspired Grimm.” Walt Belcher from The Tampa Tribune agrees, calling Grimm a potential “dark horse” of the fall TV season. Continue reading... “NBC Introduces “Grimm” to Television Critics Association”
