The Portland Events and Film Office, in partnership with Travel Portland, is proud to announce the recipients of the 2024 Post Production Grant to five feature films. The funding is designed to encourage the completion of a local feature-length film and position local producers to build toward larger, more resourced productions. Past recipients of the Post-Production Grant have included “Nora” by Anna Campbell and Dawn Redstone Jones’ “Mother of Color,” the latter picked up by Amazon Prime Studios for worldwide streaming distribution.

Hollywood Theatre at PDX is Looking for #OregonMade Short Films
The Hollywood Theatre, Portland’s premiere modern-historic movie house, is looking for short films to be screened at their location in the PDX airport for our Summer 2024 program. If you or someone you know has a short film that fits the parameters presented below, consider submitting your film!
To be considered for screening at the Hollywood Theatre @ PDX, all submissions must meet the following criteria:
- Must be created by a local/regional artist or concern issues relating to Oregon or the Pacific Northwest
- Must be appropriate for a general audience (G-rated).

#OregonMade “Little Wing” Comes To Paramount+ March 13
#OregonMade LITTLE WING, a heartwarming coming-of-age story from Awesomeness, will premiere on Wednesday, March 13, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, and the following day in the UK and Australia.
LITTLE WING follows Kaitlyn, a teen who is reeling from her parent’s divorce and the pending loss of her home. She and her best friend hope to solve her mother’s financial woes by stealing a valuable bird, but Kaitlyn, instead, forms a bond with the owner, that leads her to a new outlook on life.

Who Are We? We are a small (4 people) semi-independent state agency. We work closely with other agencies such as:
- Business Oregon
- Travel Oregon
- Department of Revenue
- Oregon Parks & Recreation (Oregon State Parks)
- Oregon Governor’s Office

NPR’s film critic Justin Chang released his Top 10 films for 2023 and Kelly Reichardt’s #OregonMade film “Showing Up” made the list along with Andrew Haigh (#OregonMade “Lean on Pete”) for his film “All of Us Strangers.”

Tomorrow Theatre Announces Opening Programming
The Portland Art Museum’s film and new media center, PAM CUT // Center for an Untold Tomorrow, is thrilled to announce the opening of the Tomorrow Theater, a new space devoted to expanding what constitutes cinema, art, and multimedia storytelling. The 250-seat Tomorrow Theater will open its doors to the public on November 3, 2023, with programming designed to inspire and surprise audiences and artists no longer content to be contained to a single medium, label, or art form.
