The Portland Oregon Women’s Film Festival (POWFest) is now accepting entries for its eighth annual festival scheduled to take place March 12 – 15, 2015. The regular deadline for entries is Friday, August 15, 2015. POWFest places a spotlight on women directors by showcasing their work and empowering the community of women in film. POWFest encourages women to find their voice and to share their stories through innovative and quality filmmaking. As we near July and the beginning of a new fiscal year, we are preparing to open up the application process for our “local filmmaker” program, commonly referred to as the Indigenous Oregon Production Investment Fund (iOPIF).
We will begin accepting iOPIF applications on May 5th, 2014. Our iOPIF Advisory Committee will evaluate all applications submitted between May 5th and May 9th as having been submitted at the same time.
