In its ongoing commitment to amplify and support the role of the producer, Dear Producer is proud to be continuing the Dear Producer Award in 2024, and launching an open application for year three of the Award (in previous years, producers chosen for the Award were by industry recommendation only).

The Events and Film Office at Prosper Portland, in partnership with Travel Portland, has selected three recipients of the Amplify Portland: Local Filmmakers Production Grant. The Amplify Portland Grant seeks to create opportunity for filmmakers using local talent, crew, and vendors during production. The grant contributes to productions that build professional development within the local industry and bring exposure to Portland through unique stories with diverse representation both in front of and behind the camera.

Oregon Community Foundation’s Small Arts & Culture Grants Program is now accepting applications!
Could your organization use some support to advance your mission? Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) seeks applications from arts and culture nonprofit organizations with budgets under $100,000. One-year grants of $1,000 to $5,000 for general operating support will be awarded across the state with $350,000 in total grant funding available annually.

Seven talented Indigenous storytellers have been named Confluence Filmmaker Fellows, as the nonprofit Confluence launches its inaugural program to showcase emerging Native visual artists. Thanks to a generous grant from Oregon Film and the Creative Opportunity Program, Confluence is able to support Indigenous filmmakers in achieving their visions through cash prizes and
On-screen representation affects cultural understanding of BIPOC, women, and LGBTQ+ characters. Barriers need to be broken down until equal representation is achieved on-screen and behind the camera.
BendFilm’s Grant will support a BIPOC women artist with $20,000 toward making their short or feature film. The grant supports storytellers who are working to tell creative and complex stories told from a point of view that is unique and authentic.
We are accepting proposals from partner organizations for projects to be considered for the next Creative Opportunity Program funding from Oregon Film through 5p September 1, 2023. If you run or are part of an media focused organization (non-profit, membership or public benefit entity) and have a program that you believe will be helpful to grow, educate, enlighten, train or otherwise benefit the film, television, animation, commercial, interactive or media community here in Oregon please send us your proposals.
The winners of this year’s “Tell Your Story” grants are Karina Lomelin Ripper and Luann Algoso & Christian Henry. These filmmakers will receive a non-project-specific grant of $15,000 and at least six months of direct support from the Oregon Film Office as well as shared office space at Desert Island Studios. The grant was designed to support a non-project-specific, virtual residency, allowing filmmakers to develop, explore, and shoot the stories they want to tell in any film format they choose.
