“House of Last Things” to Premiere at “20th International Festival du Film Fantastique de Gerardmer”

MICHAEL BARTLETT’s Oregon made “House of Last Things” has been selected to premiere in competition in France January 30 – February 4th at the “20th International Festival du film fantastique de Gérardmer”. One of nine films selected for competition, the films in competition include Barry Levinson’s “The Bay,” and from Spain, “Mama”.

Cast includes Lindsey Haun (TRUE BLOOD), Blake Berris (DAYS OF OUR LIVES), and RJ MITTE (BREAKING BAD) in his first feature film role.

OpenLens Festival – Eugene, January 26, 2013

RESERVE THIS DATE – SATURDAY, JANUARY 26TH! The Ninth Annual OpenLens Festival is a celebration of the independent spirit in Oregon filmmaking. This year’s event features a film critic seminar, a meet-the-filmmaker public reception, film screenings, and a closing reception and awards ceremony. The Saturday, January 26th Festival will be held in the UO Baker Center Auditorium at 320 E. 10th Street in Eugene.

This is the third year the Short Film/Video Competition has accepted films from across the entire state of Oregon.

Ashland Independent Film Festival announces eMerge Transmedia Showcase for the 2013 Festival

Ashland, Ore.—The Ashland Independent Film Festival (AIFF) today announced a multi-part transmedia showcase to be unveiled as part of the 12th annual festival, April 4 – 8, 2013 in Ashland. Created to showcase new forms of digital and interactive storytelling, the program has been developed in collaboration with Southern Oregon University’s Emerging Media and Digital Arts (EMDA) program, and is sponsored by the Governor’s Office of Film and Television, Project A, the Portland Incubator Experiment (P.I.E.), and Second Story Interactive Studios. Oregon made feature film Cell Count now available on VOD.

PORTLAND, Oregon (December 20th, 2012)  The feature film “Cell Count” made it’s World Premiere at this year’s Fantaspoa Film Festival in Brazil on May 20th.  Since then it has gone to the Macabro Film Festival in Mexico, the Montreal HorrorFest in Canada, Sitges Film Festival in Spain, Rojo Sangre Film Festival in Argentina, Montevideo Fantastico Film Festival in Uruguay, Another Hole in the Head Film Festival in the USA, and Celluloid Screams in the UK.  Director Todd E. We felt warm embraces by local and regional audiences, were humbled with the presence of more guest artists than ever, and saw a 30% increase in attendance. EOFF was one of the first festivals to utilize Skype technology for its Q/As. Portland Represents at Art Basel Miami

From December 6th  – 9th, Kimberly Warner’s short film ‘CPR’, will be representing Portland at Art Basel Miami.

CPR, written and directed by Portland’s Kimberly Warner and co-produced by Kimberly and Matt Schulte, will be part of a program called “LIght Assembly”…the goal of Light Assembly is “to combine large-scale video art projection with the citywide canvas of Miami Beach and mainland Miami’s modern architectural marvels and historic landmarks”.
