It’s a real coup to have these two seasoned producers at ISA PDX. Janice and Darren have worked together on several projects, including CONFIRMATION and THE FINAL GIRLS. Between them, they have scores of TV and feature credits, and will talk about the script to screen process from their perspective in the trenches.

Eastern Oregon Film Festival will celebrate its tenth year of programming from October 24-26, 2019.
#EOFF2019 is now open for submission. Filmmakers hoping to participate should visit FILMFREEWAY.COM/EOFILMFEST for details and to submit. The festival is looking for feature and short length films across all genres. The submission regular deadline is April 20, 2019.
Eastern Oregon Film Festival has unfortunately lost access to screening film at The Granada Theatre after ownership opted out of its partnership with EOFF. With much excitement, the EOFF team is working hard with other partners like Eastern Oregon University, Union County, EOFF membership, and outlying key regional venues to plan a lively tenth year of celebration. The Portland Oregon Women’s Film Festival is excited to announce the POWGirls workshops for spring and summer of 2019. The POWGirls Media Education Program launched in March of 2014 and has hosted thirteen successful workshops, producing 19 films and serving over 100 girls and non-binary youth in the Portland metro area.
Our mission is to help girls and non-binary youth, 15-19, realize their power, creativity and voice in media production and encourage them to explore opportunities as future media-makers. We want to encourage participants to be creative, tech-savvy leaders who will help realize gender equity in media industries. Emmy Award winner, Visual Effects Supervisor Juri Stanossek will attend the screening of JIM BUTTON AND LUKE THE ENGINE DRIVER on Sunday Oct. 7, 218 @ 3.00 PM at CINEMA 21. Following the screening will be a presentation about VFX by Juri Stanossek followed by a Q&A.
Juri Stanossek started his career in 1994. Since then he’s supervised more than 40 movies for TV and cinema. He acted as Visual Effects Supervisor at Elektrofilm from 2004 to 2008 and then moved forward to Pixomondo Stuttgart, where he supervised international productions like “Ghostwriter” (2010), “Hugo Cabret” (2011) , “Game of Thrones” (2012) and “Rush” (2013).
