Great video from “Leverage’s” Electric Entertainment showing off Oregon

[vimeo]http://vimeo.com/33358272[/vimeo]

At last night’s annual meeting we showed off a collection of videos prior to the meeting.  Many people were making their way into the room and may have missed this fantastic video that our friends from Electric Entertainment created.  We’ve been looking for a fresh way to show off the variety of locations in the area and what better way than to see the locations they way they were shot on “Leverage”?  We can’t wait to see what they will shoot next year when they are actually supposed to be in Portland (as was announced last night).  Continue reading... “Great video from “Leverage’s” Electric Entertainment showing off Oregon”

An New Way For Actors and Models To Promote Themselves.

Photo of Aris Juson by Levy Moroshan Photography

Do you have a reel?  Head shot?  Website?  I’m sure if you are, or want to be, a professional actor or model you’ve been asked these questions by filmmakers, casting directors, and agents.  Sometimes the answer can be long with explanations.  Other times you have everything you need but have a hard time getting them all tightly bundled for easy consumption.

So you might ask be asking yourself… “What is that strange looking black box on the picture above?”  Continue reading... “An New Way For Actors and Models To Promote Themselves.”

Great Behind the Scenes Film of “Portlandia”

IFC is looking to go bigger and better with season 2 of “Portlandia” and this behind the scenes film is an indication of what we’re going to see in January.  I do think the coolest part of this show is that above all it’s a show being made by great friends.  The friendship shines through in this piece.  Another key element is Jonathan Krisel – the Director and Writer.  I will not be surprised to see Jonathan rise up the ranks and become even more successful than he already is. Do you want to know what it takes now for independent film makers to get the word out for their film?  Check out this video.  James Westby and Katie O’Grady have taken to the streets to promote their film “Rid of Me” and I can’t sing their praises enough for the effort they’ve put forth.  The film screened earlier in the year at the Tribecca film festival and received overwhelmingly positive reveiws.  From that they secured a distribution deal for the film through Phase 4 filmsContinue reading... “Live (or previously recorded) from NYC it’s “Rid of Me”!!!!!”

Sneak Peak of “Grimm” – Cast describes pleasure of filming in Portland

In today’s People website, there is a good video sneak peak of “Grimm”.  Most of the cast is interviewed about the show.  Towards the end of the video the cast talks about the experience of filming in Portland.  Even though they are beginning to experience the pleasure of the rain coming back into the Northwest, the cast seems to be enjoying the experience.  Be sure to check out the video here. “Calamity Song” Premieres – Directed by Michael Schur in Oregon

The Decemberists’ most recent music video to the track “Calamity Song” off The King Is Dead album made its worldwide debut this morning and is already getting plenty of acclaim from music fans and the press alike. Directed by “Parks & Recreation” co-creator Michael Schur, the video portrays a group of kids playing what to the non-literary mind looks like tennis but is in fact Eschaton – the athletic game leading to global nuclear crisis from David Foster Wallace’s dystopic opus “Infinite Jest.” Continue reading... ““Calamity Song” Premieres – Directed by Michael Schur in Oregon”
