Stand By Me Day – July 23rd – Brownsville

Every year July 23rd is Stand By Me Day in Brownsville.  This year, due to Covid restrictions and not being able to gather a crowd, Historic Brownsville is hoping that fans will come on their own to celebrate this beloved movie.  Although there will not be a blueberry pie-eating contest this year fans can walk around town exploring the Oregon Film Trail stops, see the many scene locations from this beloved movie and play a geocache game. #OregonMade “Sophie Jones” Release – On VOD & In Theaters This week!

The feature film, SOPHIE JONES, directed by Jessie Barr, is having its release on March 2nd! We shot on location in 2018 with an incredible local crew and local talent. Klamath Falls Joins The Oregon Film Trail & Film Screening To Highlight Celebration Of “Phoenix, Oregon” Day Feb. 27

Historic marker on the Oregon Film Trail will be unveiled in downtown Klamath Falls in recognition of the film “Phoenix, Oregon” (shot in Klamath Falls in 2018) with a day-long celebration on Saturday, Feb. 27.

Event Details:
WHAT: Oregon Film Trail marker unveiling and “Phoenix, Oregon” film screening
WHERE: The Daily Bagel (1 p.m.), 636 Main St., Klamath Falls. Ross Ragland Theater (2 p.m.), 218 N. 7th St.
WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 27, 1 p.m. available in-person and online livestream
COST: $10 for virtual livestream or theater seat (limited seating)

New Eastern Oregon Filmmaker Residency Program Launches

The Eastern Oregon Film Festival (EOFF) UNVEILS THE EASTERN OREGON FILMMAKER RESIDENCY
LA GRANDE, OR – Eastern Oregon Film Festival, an La Grande based nonprofit, is excited to announce the inaugural year of its Filmmaker Residency program. The residency is a month-long retreat for writers and directors to receive designated time and space to work on feature-length screenplays.

We have exciting news about a new streaming channel that our Oregon nonprofit has created for shows about archaeology and cultural heritage.

We made this for people who may be tired of mindless reality TV shows, or watered-down content disguising itself as science, and who might be interested in binge-worthy shows, NOT from Netflix, that people can watch on their own smart TVs.

After having been streaming video online for more that 20 years, and having access to a network of hundreds of content producers and distributors around the world, ALI is well positioned to develop this new service.
