OPB And UO-SOJC To Air “Don’t Wait for the Quake” With Broadcast Audience Engagement Tool

Tonight, OPB-TV will re-broadcast “Don’t Wait for the Quake,” an event hosted by Oregon Public Broadcasting and the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication (SOJC) on Nov. 17. The program will air at 9pm PT, and although tonight’s show won’t be live, A Fourth Act’s audience engagement tool Harvis will be.We invite you to join in.

Oregon Story Board’s Class of 2015

Yesterday at the Hollywood Theatre, the local business accelerator, Oregon Story Board presented their second Demo Day this year (first one was in January) of their eclectic class of 2015.

There to present their pitches were: Teak, scopic, WILD, Rose City Game Consulting, morebots, sprocketship,  The Secret Book Club, and Original Fare, all of which embody “digital storytelling” as a common thread running through their work.  The eight new start-ups were impressive in their vision and scope.   Continue reading... “Oregon Story Board’s Class of 2015”

Portland-Based Film “Birds of Neptune” Has Acquired Distribution Through Brinkvision

 

BONposterplainSteven Richter’s feature film “Birds of Neptune” has been acquired by Brinkvision for US distribution.  The film is scheduled to be released on DVD and VOD in early 2016.

The award winning film “Birds of Neptune” was shot in Portland, Oregon with an all local cast and crew and all local vendors.  It premiered at Slamdance early this year and has since gone on to screen at festivals throughout the US  and was the opening night film at the Portland Film Festival. Avoid a cat-astrophe in the bathroom! In an original pitch spot called “Cat’s Meow: The Interruption,” Hinge’s creative team brings attention to a very real problem facing cats and their owners everywhere.

The concept was developed in-house and shot with Portland crew and talent. The animation and post team created and integrated a photo real CG cat into the live action plates — all with a dash of litter humor.

Technology Association of Oregon Opens Satellite Office in Eugene

TECHnology Association of OregonThe Technology Association of Oregon, an organization that advocates for the state’s tech companies, and whose vision is to “create a world-class and inclusive innovation economy in Oregon and SW Washington by helping the region’s technology and tech-enabled industries to grow through programs and initiatives that focus on industry promotion, advocacy, professional networks, and talent development” has opened a satellite office in Eugene.

With their quirky and ultra-stylish Pizza Schmizza social media spot hot off the press, the Revolver DMS (rDMS) team shifted gears/genres and produced a more suspense-based web spot in collaboration with tech B2B marketing agency McClenahan Bruer (McBru).

The original Producer we were working with had resigned from the project for personal reasons, and I requested a couple of bids,” explains McBru Senior Communications Counsel Tarah Hartzler. “We had a script, storyboards and a few actors who fit our needs.
