IN UNPRECEDENTED STEP “PHOENIX, OREGON” PREMIERING MARCH 20^TH OFFERS PRIVATE SCREENING LINKS TO THEATRICAL TICKET BUYERS

As public gatherings are canceled and social distancing becomes the new normal in the U.S. due to the coronavirus pandemic, the distribution team behind the new independent film “Phoenix, Oregon” is offering an alternate at-home viewing option while still funneling revenue to theaters who are seeing a downturn in attendance as millions avoid public gatherings.

Oregon Film is closely monitoring the current situation regarding the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID19). We are communicating with producers, companies and studios alike and we are working with stakeholders such as the OMPA and the Northwest Film Center to provide updates to the community.

We know that several productions have already delayed or cancelled their shoots here in light of the recommendations from both the state and the CDC and that this is directly impacting everyone working throughout our industry.

We’re bringing back guest speaker RANDALL JAHNSON one year later because he has a whole bunch of new stuff to share, including: HOW TO BUILD A PITCH DECK and HOW TO ADD PIX TO YOUR FD SCRIPT. Randall’s produced credits include: Dudes, The Doors, The Mask of Zorro, Sunset Strip and episodes of the HBO series Tales from the Crypt. Most recently: Narcos Vs. Zombies!

Welcome in the sweet tubes of Spring and help the ex-presidents finance an Endless Summer by joining us to celebrate the rain of the Oregon Coast (specifically Indian Beach in Ecola State Park and downtown Wheeler) with a 35mm print of Katherine Bigelow’s classic surf-thriller. Oregon is the home to a drenched Swayze/Reeves fight on the north coast sands while waiting for a closed out set that came in from Hawaii but plays in Australia (our locations are just that flexible).
