In partnership with the Port of Portland, the Hollywood Theatre is opening a first-of-its-kind free microcinema at Portland International Airport today’s. The Hollywood Theatre at PDX will feature short films by Oregon filmmakers and host special events and visiting guests.Read more.

The #OregonMade exhibit, that has seen over 1.2 million pass by it in the last 7 months, closed yesterday.

Who Are We? We are a small (4 people) semi-independent state agency. We work closely with other agencies such as:

  • Business Oregon
  • Travel Oregon
  • Department of Revenue
  • Oregon Parks & Recreation (Oregon State Parks)
  • Oregon Governor’s Office

The feature film, SOPHIE JONES, directed by Jessie Barr, is having its release on March 2nd! We shot on location in 2018 with an incredible local crew and local talent. Athena Joins The Oregon Film Trail

A brand new Oregon Film Trail sign has been installed and was unveiled today in Athena, honoring the town’s starring role as a location in the silent film, City Girl.  It sits outside the Gem Theatre, Athena.  The Gem Theatre hosted the dedication of the newest sign on the Oregon Film Trail, in celebration of the local filming of this F.W. Murnau silent feature film.

Weiden and Kennedy received their 21st Emmy nomination for their Outstanding Commercial,  “Dream Crazy” for Nike, featuring Colin Kaepernick.

Kamp Grizzly was nominated for Outstanding Commercial for the Netflix ad, “A Great Day In Hollywood

Crofton Diack, Producer for National Geographic/BBC Studios on their series, “Life Below Zero,” was nominated for Outstanding Unstructured Realty Program.

IFC’s “Documentary Now” gathered up a handful of nominations, such as; Outstanding Variety Sketch Series, Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series, Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series (to Portland native, Alex Buono). Writer And Coos Bay Native, Jeff Whitty, Nominated For Oscar!

#OregonMade Coos Bay native, Jeff Whitty, has been nominated (with co-writer Nicole Holofcene) for and Oscar – “Writing – Best Adpated Screenplay” with “Can You Ever Forgive Me?”  Whitty has already gathered 20 writing nominations and 6 wins with this project.  Additionally, the film has collected two other Oscar nominations, “Best Performce in a Leading Role” (Melissa McCarthy)  and “Best Performance in a Supporting Role” (Richard E. Grant).
