The 39th Northwest Filmmakers’ Festival continues the Film Center’s tradition of bringing moving image artists of the Northwest together to share ideas, discover resources, inspire, be inspired, and to showcase their finest work to greater audiences. Submit your recent work for consideration!
The entry deadline is Monday, August 1 (postmark) and the Festival runs November 9-17. Entries are judged by a prominent filmmaker, curator, or critic who determines the Festival awards. PORTLAND, Oregon (June 4, 2012) Just two weeks ago Cell Count was Closing Night Film at the Fantaspoa Fantastic Film Festival in Brazil and the World Premiere was a huge success. HDFEST returns to Portland May 15th-17th for three nights of screenings of independent films at the Living Room Theaters from 5pm-11pm.
The film festival will showcase over 40 projects in HD resolution including features, documentaries, shorts, music videos and animations. Screening sequences include “HD International Short Films,” “Romantic Relationships and Intrigue” and “High-Definition Gay Films.”

DIVA’s Youth Visions’ program announced the 2012 Teen Video Challenge Competition winners with a screening and awards ceremony on Saturday, April 14th at the Bijou Theater in Eugene.
The festival’s Jury was please to recognize two first place winning videos this year. Festival Director Steve Newcomb made the awards before a packed theater.
