But non-the-less, we like car commercials and we have many shooting here to know! They often have healthy budgets and of course, provide local jobs. We make an effort to promote the versatile roads of Oregon and in some ways it’s not that difficult; beautiful high desert, mountains, beaches, urban scenes, small towns and an easy distance between them. Last week Jody Wiser put out this information on the Tax Credit Auction that is about to happen through Oregon’s Department of Revenue. This auction process will be the same process for the Oregon Production Investment Fund next year. In the mean time check it out and consider the benefits.

In today’s People website, there is a good video sneak peak of “Grimm”. Most of the cast is interviewed about the show. Towards the end of the video the cast talks about the experience of filming in Portland. I’m never big on talking about the projects that “got away” from Oregon but in this case I want to make an exception. “A Year in Mooring”, written by Salem writer Peter Vanderwall and directed by Chris Eyre who was born in Portland. A few years back my office was contacted about this film as the original story was set in Oregon. Unfortunately between bad timing, competing projects and a scarcity of incentive funds, the project went to Michigan and is now set in Michigan.
