See short films by local filmmakers (maybe even yours!) on the big screen while sampling some of Portland’s best food and drink – all in the name of helping p:ear, Portland’s premier mentoring program for homeless teens.
In addition to this week’s announcement of their two new feature film projects, Oregon’s LAIKA animation studio also rolled out a newly designed website including the beautiful video embedded above. The video provides unique insight into who LAIKA is, and how they combine a classic hand-made artisan craft with cutting edge technology to achieve spectacular results. Entries can be nearly any style or quality ( Music videos, Senior thesis projects, Stoner videos, Feature Excerpts, & Teasers…etc.)
Your peers & celebrity judges will rate the videos, and the top 5 from each rounds will advance to the Finals at the Hollywood Theatre in October. Thanks in large part to the leadership of Dean Devlin, many of the cast and crew tweet frequently about the goings on in and around Portland.
