OregonMade Creative Foundation Nominated For Community Impact Award, Inaugural Global Production Awards

We are excited to confirm that Oregon Film’s non-profit, the OregonMade Creative Foundation has been nominated by Screen International and the Global Production Awards for a Community Impact Award. Screen International unveiled the shortlist for the inaugural Awards which celebrates outstanding and sustainable work in the world of film and TV production, locations, studios, and film offices.

The awards recognize organizations and companies working in the film and TV industry including studios, production companies, film commissions, locations, suppliers and manufacturers, and any services involved in film and TV production.

Filmmaker Mixer – Free Event

Join the POV Filmmakers for our monthly in person mixer.

The April mixer will feature a presentation from Bradley Aaron, Screenwriter, on How To Format A Screenplay (approximately 20 minutes), followed by a fun trivia game, then plenty of time to network with other filmmakers. Open to all, this event is free to attend no matter where you are in your filmmaking journey. We meet every Third Thursday.

Top Secret Club Script Workshop Returns on April 29

The next Top Secret Club script reading event is coming up Saturday April 29th at 2 PM featuring the work of playwright/actor/director Francisco Garcia and actor/writer/producer Julia Morizawa.

Desert Island Studios are excited to announce that the event will be held at their new studio space- 1316 SE 12th Avenue. Join them to support these fantastic projects/writers followed by networking, and a sneak peek of our new facility. Free to attend.

“Dear Future Children” Screening At Clinton Street Theater May 9th

In our Monthly Film Series, we will show a variety of German language films – from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. On the 2nd Tuesday of each month, audiences will now have a chance to see these films on a regular basis at the CLINTON STREET THEATER. (Children movies will be playing on Sunday afternoons – please check our website.) All films are with English subtitles.

Kelly Reichardt’s #OregonMade “Showing Up” Released This Month

Kelly Reichardt’s new #OregonMade feature “Showing Up” will be release by A24 in theaters in April. Michelle Williams plays a sculptor preparing to open a new show who must balance her creative life with the daily dramas of family and friends. It is a vibrant and captivatingly funny portrait of art and craft.

Eastern Oregon Filmmaker Residency Program Announces 2023 Cohort

Eastern Oregon Film Festival is excited to announce the cohort for the 2023 Eastern Oregon Filmmaker Residency Program, taking place from April 30-May 26 in La Grande.

The selected attendees will be hosted at The Lodge at Hot Lake Springs and will engage with the community, Eastern Oregon University Students and Faculty, local businesses, and more as they focus on writing screenplays that are informed and enriched by their time in the Grande Ronde Valley.

This residency is supported by the recently formed Creative Opportunity Fund.

Kelly Reichardt’s #OregonMade “Showing Up” To Be Released April 7th

Kelly Reichardt has shot six of her eight movies here in Oregon, the latest being the comedy-drama, “Showing Up” starring long-time collaborator, Michelle Williams, and Oregon writer, Jonathan Raymond (co-written by Reichart). “Showing Up” first premiered at the competing for the Palme d’Or.
