Has there ever been a cohesive Loop (ADR) Group in the Pacific Northwest? I couldn’t find one, so when I moved back to Portland from LA to raise my kid, it was time to build one. Throughout 2018, we trained, rehearsed, and even worked on a few great local projects.
The OR Doc Camp Fellowships will be awarded to established documentary filmmakers from Oregon from under-represented backgrounds. Winners of the fellowship will receive room, board and travel expenses from Portland for the 4-day Doc Camp experience and a 30 minute private session with one of our attending documentary consultants. We can’t attest to either our screen presence or our photogenic-ness, but we do hope that the information contained within is helpful. Every year, the union performers in the Portland SAG-AFTRA local gather at the Lake Theater in Lake Oswego to watch their union’s televised annual awards event. This year, the event is open to all local union members and supporters, and is doubling as a fundraiser for local SAG-AFTRA president Robert Blanche, who’s fighting for his life after a double lung transplant.
