CITY BABY is a Portland-centric coming-of-age story about a group of meandering 20-somethings trying to find meaning in the new world of adulthood. We seek writers with the ability to tell a compelling story quickly and cinematically, while adhering to a theme and a practical eye towards real-life movie production. Unique to scriptwriting contests, the Script-to-Screen Competition grand prize is this: we will produce a short film based on the winning script! This year’s event features a film critic seminar, a meet-the-filmmaker public reception, film screenings, and a closing reception and awards ceremony. The Saturday, January 26th Festival will be held in the UO Baker Center Auditorium at 320 E. 10th Street in Eugene.
This is the third year the Short Film/Video Competition has accepted films from across the entire state of Oregon.
