NW utilizes creativity and high production values to provide a forum for honest and compelling story telling. It will air weekly on Sundays at 5:00pm PST, beginning November 18.

Every week, host Leif Hansen will travel the Pacific Northwest in his 1968 solar/electric hybrid VW Bus collecting stories that showcase the unique personality of the region.

“The Digits” Nominated for Best Educational Web Series by IAWTV

Northwest filmmakers put their hearts on stage this November 9-18 during the Northwest Film Center’s 39th Northwest Filmmakers’ Festival.

Feature film highlights include Lynn Shelton’s YOUR SISTER’S SISTER, starring Rosemarie DeWitt, Emily Blunt, and Mark Duplass; James Westby’s RID OF ME starring Katie O’Grady; a special FREE 50th Anniversary screening of POLLUTION IN PARADISE, the 1962 KGW-8 produced film that documents the beginning of the environmental movement in Oregon that became the hallmark of former Governor Tom McCall’s tenure; and closing the Festival is Matt McCormick’s THE GREAT NORTHWEST. Bent Image Lab and Hallmark have joined forces once again this time to produce the 2D animated comedy “hoops&yoyo’s Haunted Halloween”. Based off of the popular Hallmark e- card characters, the “hoops&yoyo” TV Special was directed by Bent’s Rob Shaw and features the hilarious pink cat and green bunny getting trapped in a haunted mall on Halloween night.

PORTLAND, Oregon (September 19, 2012) – “The Weather Outside”, produced by Polluted Pictures in association with Wooden Frame Productions, will have its World Premiere as part of  The Eugene International Film Festival at 7 PM on October 19th, 2012 at the Regal Valley River Center Stadium 15 & IMAX  in Eugene, Oregon.

“The Weather Outside” was the second of three feature films shot in 2011 from Wooden Frame Productions that utilized the Oregon state iOPIF rebate program which provides rebates of 20% of goods and services and 10% of Oregon labor for films produced by Oregon filmmakers who spend a minimum of $75,000 but not more than $750,000 on their project. Art of Makeup New Class Schedule and Halloween Workshop

Art of Makeup, School of Professional Makeup Artistry, has added both evening classes and daytime classes to the 2012 fall/winter schedule. The new dates are:

Evening Schedule:  September 24 – November 9   from 6:30pm – 10pm

Daytime Schedule:  October 29 – December 14    from 9am – 3pm

Classes can be taken individually or as an entire course

HALLOWEEN WORKSHOP with Christina Kortum on September 9, 2012 from 1-4pm  Cost is $85 including supplies.
