Next Generation Media, the company that purchased the CD/DVD replication business from Allied Vaughn just over two years ago, has permanently closed its doors. If you or your organization had assets stored at the Next Generation branch in Portland, it’s going to be a while before you can reclaim them. In deciding how much NGM’s creditors will be paid, the bankruptcy courts have frozen all assets contained in all branches. That’s the bad news.

“Calvin Marshall,” filmed in Ashland, Oregon in late 2007 has now hit the festival circuit.
The producers have come up with a very clever and innovative way to market the film. Below are a few links to Youtube clips that show behind the scenes footage of the film. At the end of each clip you are provided a password and a website address (calvinmarshall.com). At the website you can then watch the finished scene covered in the Youtube footage.

Heya Folks…
Back in 2006, I appeared in a very ambitious independent film called (at that time) The Lonely Apocalypse – written and directed by Northwest filmmaker Nicholas J. Hagen.
My part was pretty small – I only had two shoot days on the project. The film itself, however, was shot over the course of an entire month in and around Southwest Washington and incorporated a dizzying array of stunts, special effects, and locations. Everyone who’s seen the movie under its new title Dark Horizon has been impressed by the tension Hagen evoked – and the high production value he was able to bring on such a small budget.

The Oregon Media Arts Fellowship(s) provide financial and other support for production expenses to enable Oregon film or video artists to create or complete new work or works in progress. The Media Arts Fellowship(s) recognize and assist media artists whose work shows exceptional promise and who have demonstrated a commitment to film or video art. The Oregon Arts Commission, the Gordon D. Sondland and Katherine J. Durant Foundation and Oregon Public Broadcasting fund the program.
Chambers Productions is hiring a full time Producer/Director.
Chambers Productions is looking for someone with 5+ years experience. Position will primarily focus on commercial, agency and corporate video projects with occasional opportunity to work on feature film projects.
Position requires experience producing / directing single and multi-camera, studio and field productions, using video equipment, editing software, lighting and audio gear.
