If you haven’t heard yet, there is a career school in town for professional makeup artistry! We provide a quality education in the art, business, and techniques of professional makeup artistry for the film, television, special effects, theater, media, and fashion industries.
The Art of Makeup is an ongoing resource for continuing mentorship, networking, and community job placement assistance. Our graduates are placed on our job board for 18 months with the goal of giving them on set experiential opportunities for continued education and networking opportunities to get them working.

“Who’s on Top? LGBTQs Summit Mt. Hood” is the emotional story of members of the LGBTQ community who challenge stereotypes about gender and sexuality and demonstrate their diverse journeys in overcoming physical and figurative mountains.

“Kansas City Bomber” played a part the launch of Rose City Rollers, Portland’s premier roller derby league and home to three-time World Champions, the Wheels of Justice.

After attending art school here in the Pacific NW, I started my career as a graphic designer and soon moved up in rank as an advertising art /creative director. After ten years in advertising, I changed paths slightly to become a fashion photography art director working for many U.S. apparel brands. After many years of traveling the world on one shoot production after the other, I decided to find a occupation here in Oregon that would provide more stability for my family and I.
The Ashland Independent Film Festival has unveiled ten film selections from its 18th annual edition. The full line-up will be released at Festival Preview Night, to be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20 at the SOU Music Recital Hall in Ashland. Heading the list of early highlights is the world premiere of Ashland filmmakers Gary and Annie Lundgren’s Phoenix, Oregon, starring James Le Gros and Jesse Borrego as two friends who, defying midlife haze, seize an unlikely opportunity to reinvent their lives, quitting their jobs to restore an old bowling alley and serve the “world’s greatest pizza.”

It’s a real coup to have these two seasoned producers at ISA PDX. Janice and Darren have worked together on several projects, including CONFIRMATION and THE FINAL GIRLS. Between them, they have scores of TV and feature credits, and will talk about the script to screen process from their perspective in the trenches.

#OregonMade “Clementine” will have its world premiere at Tribeca 2019 and is to be shown in the US Narrative Feature Competition. Tribeca 2019 will take place April 24-May 5th in New York City.
“Clementine” was directed and written by, Lara Jean Gallagher, and produced by Aimee Lynn Barneburg, Davis Priestley, and Karina Ripper.
The movie takes place in Oregon (Florence and Portland) – “reeling from a one-sided breakup, heartbroken Karen breaks into her ex’s lakehouse. There, she strikes up a complicated relationship with provocative younger woman Lana in this beautifully rendered psychological drama and sexual coming of age story.”
Netflix’s “The OA – Part 2″ is set to return for its second season March 22nd. This fantasy drama series was shot in Oregon last summer, in locations such as, Portland, Warm Springs and Pacific City.
