Emmy Award winner, Visual Effects Supervisor Juri Stanossek will attend the screening of JIM BUTTON AND LUKE THE ENGINE DRIVER on Sunday Oct. 7, 218 @ 3.00 PM at CINEMA 21. Following the screening will be a presentation about VFX by Juri Stanossek followed by a Q&A.

Juri Stanossek started his career in 1994. Since then he’s supervised more than 40 movies for TV and cinema. He acted as Visual Effects Supervisor at Elektrofilm from 2004 to 2008 and then moved forward to Pixomondo Stuttgart, where he supervised international productions like “Ghostwriter” (2010), “Hugo Cabret” (2011) , “Game of Thrones” (2012) and “Rush” (2013).

“American Vandal” – Season 2 – Premiered September

The new trailer is out for American Vandal’s second season (maybe NSFW.)

The #OregonMade season 2 of “American Vandal” will premiere Friday, September 14th, 2018 and will consist of 8 episodes that all shot in and around Portland metro. “Shrill” TV Adaptation To Shoot In Oregon, Starring Aidy Bryant

From Oregon to L.A. and back again | BLACKSTAR WARRIOR

I thought one could only make film in Hollywood. Then, I made a short in Portland and it changed my life.

Our stars Mindy Machen and Leonard Roberts in the cockpit of the Blackstar built by production designer Jubal Nance and art director Rob Taylor.

Los Angeles was the place I flew down to for meetings between long walks on beaches that felt hotter than the surface of the sun. Everything about L.A. felt like the polar opposite of Portland, the place where I had lived and worked as a comic book artist for years, first for Dark Horse and then for Marvel & DC, all the while coming up with ideas for film and television, ideas that made me feel excited not just as a creator but as a viewer. Update On #OregonMade “The OA”

The Portland Tribune  covered the latest on the goings on of Netflix’s “The OA” shooting in Oregon.

“The OA” is written and produced by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij.  Marling stars as Prairie Johnson, a young blind woman who “returns to her hometown after an unexplained seven-year absence with her eyesight restored and now calling herself “The OA.””

Fastlife: An Oregon Family and Racing Documentary Series

 

A local auto dealer and his filmmaker wife have launched a documentary series on the international stage of Amazon Prime available for streaming now.

Derek DeBoer, an Oregon auto dealer, and his wife Brooke, a Southern Oregon Filmmaker teamed up in 2014 to create Fastlife, a show about a family striving to live their dreams amidst all the realities of every day life.

In 2015, the animation production house, ShadowMachine, opened a satellite studio in Portland. Since then, they’ve produced multiple projects. Most recently, they have worked in collaboration with the WWE to create“Dallas and Robo,” a cartoon that was just released on YouTube Red. Oregon Film’s 50th Anniversary Trailer of #OregonMade Productions Plays Hollywood PDX

Oregon Film turns 50 this year and to celebrate we commissioned filmmaker & editor Josh Lunden and composer Jake Hull to put together a fantastic new trailer that celebrates more than 109 years of film, television, animation, commercial and interactive production here in the state.

Featuring many, many clips from #OregonMade films sourced edited together by Lunden and a live score specially written and recorded by Hull, the trailer takes a 3 minute journey from the earliest of silent films to the latest Oscar Nomination for “Kubo and the Two Strings” – and everything in between.
