It’s the most wonderful time of the year to break up.

In the new trailer for Eastern Oregon shot “Breakup Season,” a young man (Chandler Riggs) brings his girlfriend (Samantha Isler) back to his rural Oregon hometown to meet his family for the first time over Christmas. After a late night argument turns leads to them breaking up, winter weather strands his newly minted ex at his family home for the rest of the holiday season.

LAIKA, the Visit Downtown Campaign, Wild in Art, and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital all joined forces to bring Coraline’s Curious Cat Trail to the Rose City this summer. Selectively chosen artists hand painted each one of the 31 almost six-foot-tall cat sculptures that were stationed throughout Downtown Portland. The trail corresponded with the release of LAIKA’s remastered, Oregon made 3D stop-motion feature “Coraline” in celebration of the movie’s 15th anniversary. Food Foray: Locally Produced Docuseries Screening at the Milagro Theatre

Finding Space for Independent Cinema

When my husband Davon and I started production on our film, A Public Space, we had little idea of what to expect. The film centers on the fate of the now defunct College Hill Reservoir in Eugene, Oregon, and explores the larger significance of public space. While Davon is an accomplished editor, this was our first filmmaking collaboration, and although we deeply believed in the idea, we weren’t sure how it would be received in the community.

Netflix has dropped the first trailer for the Oregon shot feature film “It’s What’s Inside” which is being released exclusively on their platform on October 4th.

A group of friends gather for a pre-wedding party that descends into an existential nightmare when an estranged friend arrives with a mysterious game that awakens long-hidden secrets, desires, and grudges.

“To Die For” & “Kids” Film Set Photo Exhibit

Oregon Film is proud to sponsor an exhibit at Koerner Camera featuring photos from the sets of Gus Van Sant’s “To Die For” and Larry Clark’s “Kids” taken by #OregonMade cinematographer Eric Alan Edwards to celebrate the 30th anniversary of those film’s release.
