To The Stars film is a locally produced stop-motion animated short film about a little girl with a big dream of becoming an astronaut and the inspirational tale of her adventure as she attempts to defy gravity and return a fallen star to its home in the sky
As a HouseSpecial animator, you will create the performance of computer graphics characters and objects within a shot, using animation software tools such as Maya to convey emotion, movement action and personality. Our teams move fast; we never compromise on creativity.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to plan out shots using thumbnail drawings or other forms of thought out planning.
Can block in rough animation with strong clear posing, acting, timing & appeal for Director, and/or Supervisor, approval within a reasonable amount of time.

LAIKA’s fifth film, “Missing Link,” will be directed by Chris Butler (“ParaNorman”) and cast will include, Hugh Jackman, Zoe Saldana, Zach Galifianakis, Stephen Fry and Emma Thompson. It is set to open in the spring of 2019.
