The Astrid Experience‘, the upcoming feature film from LA Filmmaker, Salem, OR local, and Portland State Alumni Cal Barnes, is currently open for investment. The production partnered with the Silicon Valley based company, Wefunder, to hold an SEC regulated raise until August 3rd, 2020. Cal is in Oregon for the summer working on finishing the film, and wanted to extend this opportunity directly to the Oregon Film community. The project servers as a great point of entry for any aspiring investors or producers that are seriously interested in the entertainment industry and being a part of a legitimate Hollywood production. The Bandon, OR-shot feature film, “The Rental,” a horror-thriller directed by Dave Franco  (“If Beale Street Could Talk”) and will be available in select theaters and available to watch on a variety of video on demand platforms beginning Friday, July 24.

There have been many iconic Ford’s featured in films over the years, from the pioneering Ford Deuce Coupe in the 1973 classic American Graffiti to the high-performance Ford GT40 in the contemporary docu-film Ford v Ferrari. Ford’s Coupes and the idea of what a coupe is has transformed over the years but regardless of the nomenclatures implication, Ford’s cars have always been favorites with car and film aficionados alike. New director, Clare McKay graduated with a bachelors in Communications Media from a University in San Diego County and moved back to her home in Juntura, Oregon to pursue her dream as a filmmaker. Though Oregon seemed an unlikely area for making movies she understood the basic idea behind “supply and demand”. Kelly Reichardt’s #OregonMade “First Cow” – In Theaters March 6th

First Cow,” shot entirely on location in Oregon last year.  “A taciturn loner and skilled cook (John Magaro) has traveled west and joined a group of fur trappers in Oregon Territory, though he only finds true connection with a Chinese immigrant (Orion Lee) also seeking his fortune; soon the two collaborate on a successful business, although its longevity is reliant upon the clandestine participation of a nearby wealthy landowner’s prized milking cow.

First Look At Disney’s #OregonMade, “Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made”

Disney’s first look trailer is now out showcasing their latest feature, shot partly in the Portland Metro area last year, “Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made.” The film will begin streaming on Disney + February 7th. Timmy and his polar-bear partner, Total, start a detective agency to solve neighborhood crime – adapted from the children’s best selling series written by Stephan Pastis.
