The Hollywood Reporter announced that Karen Gillian and Zoë Chao will star in Let’s Have Kids!, a comedy from MRC.
Adam Sztykiel, the screenwriter of DC movie Black Adam who previously tackled the topic of giving birth with Due Date, will make his directorial debut.
LHK centers on lifelong best friends Emma and Phoebe, played by Gillan and Chao, who decide to try to have their first babies at the same time so they can navigate the great unknown of motherhood together. They find, however, that their friendship is deeply tested when only one of them gets pregnant.
Sztykiel wrote the script with Ellie Knaus. It begins filming in Oregon this year.
The comedy is being produced by Becky Sloviter, whose credits include the hit comedy Palm Springs and acclaimed series PEN15. Sloviter is producing via her production company A Dare To Be Great Situation.
