The spot tells the story of the Alpenrose Dairy and its milk deliveries, starting with their beginning in 1916, and the growth of the once-little town of Portland, Oregon.
#OregonMade “Pinocchio” Coming To Netflix Later This Year
Netflix has released an official teaser trailer for the upcoming #OregonMade “Pinocchio” directed by filmmaker Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson. This stop-motion animated musical features Ewan McGregor, David Bradley, and Gregory Mann, and other cast includes Finn Wolfhard, Cate Blanchett, John Turturro, Ron Perlman, Tim Blake Nelson, Burn Gorman, Christoph Waltz, and Tilda Swinton. “Pinocchio” is a co-production of del Toro, The Jim Henson Company, and ShadowMachine (Portland). Hinge Digutal and CMD teamed up to create a charming stop-motion style CG animated campaign, Keep Portland Small, for Alpenrose’s new home delivery service. The spot tells the story of the Alpenrose Dairy and its milk deliveries, starting with their beginning in 1916, and the growth of the once-little town of Portland, Oregon. A miniature world builds and grows in front of our eyes, bringing to life the relationships between the delivery people and their communities, as well as the ups and downs of living in a growing city.

ShadowMachine’s #OregonMade Animated Musical “Pinocchio” Announces Cast
Shadow Machine announced this week its cast choices for the animated musical feature, “Pinocchio“. Principal photography on “Pinocchio” began last autumn at ShadowMachine’s Portland studio and production has continued uninterrupted during the pandemic.
Oscar-winner Guillermo del Toro’s stop-motion animated musical movie “Pinocchio” for Netflix has announced its cast – newcomer Gregory Mann is in the title role, Ewan McGregor as Cricket, and David Bradley (Harry Potter franchise, Game of Thrones) as Geppetto.

Laika’s “Missing Link” – Oscar Nominated For “Best Animated Feature”
The 92nd Academy Awards nominees were announced this morning in Los Angeles. Congratulations to Laika and Annapurna Pictures on their Oscar nomination for, “Best Animated Feature” for the studio’s 5th feature, “Missing Link.”
Coming off their recent Golden Globe win for, “Best Animated Feature” (also for “Missing Link“) Laika beat out Disney’s, “Frozen 2” and “The Lion King”, DreamWorks Animation’s “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” and Disney/Pixar’s “Toy Story 4”, so it will be exciting to see how they fare at the Oscars. Exciting news today – the 47th Annie Awards announced their 2019 nomination lineup – with Laika Studios‘ “Missing Link” receiving 8 (as did Disney with “Frozen”).
