The Oregon Film Trail, known for its markers at iconic Oregon film locations, will unveil its newest sign on the north exterior wall of the historic Geiser Grand Hotel. The new Trail marker commemorates the film version of the Broadway musical comedy, “Paint Your Wagon”, a beloved production that featured Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood, and Jean Seberg. The public was invited to attend and some attendees shared their filming stories from their time working on”Paint Your Wagon”. Many local Baker County residents were hired to work as crew and background actors, and some provided pictures and anecdotes at the event of their time working on the show. Captain Marvel writer-directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are set to direct the first four episodes of Prime Video‘s “Criminal,” a drama based on the multi-Eisner Award-winning graphic novel series created by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips.
Criminal was ordered to series in January and is currently in pre-production in Portland, Oregon. Brubaker, who penned the pilot script, co-showruns with crime fiction author Jordan Harper (Hightown).
The TV show is described as an interlocking universe of crime stories. Desert Island Studios in Portland hosted its first Level Up Workshop last weekend. According to the hosts and the attendees, the event was a tremendous success.
With these Level Up Workshops, DIS strives to provide educational content that will be relevant to a variety of experience levels, accompanied by targeted outreach meant to entice participants for whom the material is most appropriate.

Adam Sztykiel, the screenwriter of DC movie Black Adam who previously tackled the topic of giving birth with Due Date, will make his directorial debut.

“Napoleon” star Vanessa Kirby will reunite with The Crown’s Benjamin Caron on a movie based on Portland author Willy Vlautin’s 2021 novel “The Night Always Comes,” about a working-class woman in the Pacific Northwest who embarks on a 24-hour quest to call in old debts and raise enough money to keep a roof over her head.
