The Portland Oregon Women’s Film Festival (POWFest) is now accepting entries for its eighth annual festival scheduled to take place March 12 – 15, 2015. The regular deadline for entries is Friday, August 15, 2015. POWFest places a spotlight on women directors by showcasing their work and empowering the community of women in film. POWFest encourages women to find their voice and to share their stories through innovative and quality filmmaking. We feature the work of today’s top women directors, honoring the true pioneers while providing support and recognition for the next generation of leading women filmmakers. We wanted to let you know of the Oregon Department of Revenue’s plans to conduct a tax credit auction for the Oregon Production Investment Fund (OPIF) in July. The total amount of tax credits to be auctioned will be $10,000,000. This is the largest amount that we have had available to date, so it will be a good opportunity for people to be able take advantage of the tax credits. Long time Portland rocker, Daniel Riddle, of King Black Acid (KBA), has once again collaborated with emerging video production company, Revolver Digital Media Studio, LLC (DMS). “I’m Rolling Under,” the latest music video release, is their most visually compelling piece of art in their portfolio. KBA has long been known amongst fans for its space odyssey style sound and emotionally impactful lyrics. This has been the group’s longest collaboration to date, spanning upward five plus years in the production cycle; the result is a visual masterpiece. Producers Irl Davis and Randolph Sellars are proud to announce the upcoming release of “Polly, The Mystery of Bonney Canyon,” the highest production value book trailer ever produced. Book trailers are still relatively new as a media form. Unfortunately, the bulk of them have been made at a glaringly low production quality with cheap graphics, animated stills, and cheesy music.
