“The OA” is written and produced by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij. Marling stars as Prairie Johnson, a young blind woman who “returns to her hometown after an unexplained seven-year absence with her eyesight restored and now calling herself “The OA.””

A local auto dealer and his filmmaker wife have launched a documentary series on the international stage of Amazon Prime available for streaming now.

Derek DeBoer, an Oregon auto dealer, and his wife Brooke, a Southern Oregon Filmmaker teamed up in 2014 to create Fastlife, a show about a family striving to live their dreams amidst all the realities of every day life.

“Everything Sucks” is the latest #OregonMade series to hit TV screens and set to air February 16th. This newest Netflix series is described as a high school coming-of-age dramedy, set in the late 1990’s in Boring, Oregon. It shot 10 episodes last year in Oregon City, Boring and Fort Rock.
“Everything Sucks” was created by Ben York Jones, and Michael Mohan, and is produced by Midnight Radio. The series is described as a, “quirky, funny coming-of-age story that follows two groups of high school misfits, an A/V club and a Drama club who collide in 1996 Oregon. Hot off the success of the first season of Netflix’s “American Vandal,” season 2 has begun shooting in the metro Portland area. This mockumentary, created by Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault, will consist of another 8 episodes. The show spoofs popular true crime documentaries like Netflix’s “Making a Murderer” and “Serial” and as in season 1, season 2 will focus on soving another crime in a new high school.

Alan Ball‘s new HBO series, “Here and Now” is set to premiere February 11, 2018. This 10-episode series was written by Ball (“Six Feet Under,” “True Blood”) and stars Holly Hunter and Tim Robbins. HBO describes the show as a “provocative and darkly comic meditation on the disparate forces polarizing present-day American culture, as experienced by the members of a progressive multi-ethnic family — a philosophy professor and his wife, their adopted children from Vietnam, Liberia and Colombia and their sole biological child — and a contemporary Muslim family, headed by a psychiatrist who is treating one of their children.
