Portland Police helps the Wardrobe Dept. for “Grimm”

Yesterday on the KGW 6:00 news was this piece.  The Portland Police Department has been a great partner on two recent television Pilots – first “Brain Trust” and now “Grimm”.  Having the cooperation of organizations like the Portland Police department make Oregon a friendlier place to film.  Hopefully it’s a winning proposition for the bureau as well.  It was also great to have KGW pick up the story and let’s hope the “Grimm” ends up on KGW’s primetime lineup in the fall! “Leverage” Begins Production of Season 4 Up on the Mountain

Photo of the location of Season 4's 1st day

Oregonian writer Kristi Turnquist posted this piece today collecting all the photos and tweets coming from the cast and producers of “Leverage”. This year the team decided to shoot the opening episode up in the Mount Hood area which is the first time the show has left the Portland Metro area.  I’m sure when they wrote the episode, they didn’t plan for a blizzard but let’s all hope it goes well for them up on the mountain.  Continue reading... ““Leverage” Begins Production of Season 4 Up on the Mountain”

“Portlandia” Renewed for Second Season

Both TV Squad and the Huffington Post have announced that Portlandia has been renewed for a second season, while still having two of the six season one episodes yet to air.  The network has ordered 10 new half-hour episodes to premiere in January 2012.

“We’re thrilled with the success of Portlandia and the overwhelmingly positive feedback from

“Portlandia” – A Tourism Destination

There have been a few naysayers who have stated that “Portlandia” is bad for Portland’s image.  Some have said that the video “The Dream of the 90’s” on YouTube is going to ruin the business climate and dive us deeper into a recession.  Well for all of you who believe this myth and those who think all this fuss is silly, look no further than the Irish Times.  I was sent this article today by Jennifer Yocom from Mayor Adam’s office which is a great tourism piece for Portland and Oregon.   Continue reading... ““Portlandia” – A Tourism Destination”

Video Footage of the NYC Premiere of Portlandia

http://vimeo.com/19054260

It was a great night at the Edison Ballroom Wednesday night as IFC put together a fantastic party for “Portlandia”.  The space was decked out in everything Portland – Douglas Fir trees, cocktail tables with bicycle tires, and of course plenty of birds!  Local winery Argyle Wines had their 2007 Pinot featured and Rogue Ales was there serving their Dead Guy Ale.  Everyone that attended also got one of the signature “Portlandia” bottles.  I think the entire SNL cast was there along with Lorne Michaels, Heather Graham, Kyle MacLaclan, and “Kenneth” from “30 Rock”.  Continue reading... “Video Footage of the NYC Premiere of Portlandia”
