Submissions Now Open For 3rd Consecutive PLAYA Screenwriter’s Residency Award!

The OregonMade Creative Foundation, in conjunction with Oregon Film, Northwest Film Center and PLAYA, announce the third consecutive year of a unique residency opportunity for screenwriters and filmmakers.

This program calls for proposals from screenwriters, filmmakers and related creators to work on a script/story/pitch/narrative project during an up to 2-week residency at PLAYA in Summer Lake, Oregon.

The OregonMade Screenwriter’s Residency Award is open to Oregon Resident filmmakers, screenwriters and other creative teams (no more than 3) to develop and write a narrative project with a “historic” theme that is set here in the Northwest. The Oregon Outdoors & Health Grant – Now Accepting Submissions Through May 17th

Oregonians and visitors are inspired by nature. It feeds our souls and enriches our well-being. We instinctively know that a life spent outdoors, is a life well spent indeed. Not coincidently, it also turns out that taking time off to explore and spend time in nature can heal us.

The successful Outdoors Film Grant project will tell a unique story that correlates the effects of spending time outdoors with better health and well-being.

The Outdoor Adventure Film Grant 2019 Announces A Winner!

The second annual Outdoor Adventure Film Grant – “Oregon’s Outdoors Are For Everyone” (OAFG19) announces the winning application – “Three Sisters, Three Rivers” – filmmakers Aly Nicklas, Meredith Meeks and Analise Cleopatra, will spend ten days this summer bikepacking 325 miles through some of Oregon’s most iconic landscapes. Beginning in Bend and ending near Roseburg, the film will address both barriers and entry points for access to wilderness—especially for those of us who are raised without a relationship to the outdoors. Gordon Klco And Rob Finch – Winners Of Oregon’s Magical Winter Season Grant!

Winter Season Grant Award Winners Announced!

The Oregon Made Creative Foundation in conjunction with Travel Oregon are pleased to announce the winners of the first ever Winter Season Grant. The Grant is part of an ongoing content partnership between Travel Oregon and the Oregon Made Creative Foundation. There was a large and exciting application turnout with many creative and well-qualified ideas but Gordon Klco and Rob Finchs’ pitch, “Wish You Were Here,” took the top spot. Klco grew up in the high desert of the Rocky Mountains and his “love for skiing and kayaking led him into the adventure film world” where he started his career.

Members of the Couch Film Collective can enter the 2019 Script to Screen Grant Program for an opportunity to win a $4,000 grant (our biggest grant yet!), massive production and outreach support from our filmmaking collective, and in-kind donations!

The final deadline for submissions is January 20, 2019 at midnight.

The second annual Outdoor Adventure Film Grant – “Oregon’s Outdoors Are For Everyone” is open for applications – closes January 31st.

The Grant is being provided by the #OregonMade Creative Foundation in conjunction with Travel Oregon. This grant will provide $20,000 in funding to enable the selected applicant to create a short film that specifically showcases the diversity of people, spirit, passion, and excitement of the outdoor-adventure, or, action sports film genres in the state of Oregon. This program specifically looks to support and encourage diversity of filmmaker and/or the subject matter, in front of and/or behind the camera. Oregon’s Magical Winter Season Grant 

The $15,000 “Winter Season Grant” is being provided by the OregonMade Creative Foundation and in conjunction with Travel Oregon  to create a short film series of moving “postcard stories” that will captivate and encourage people to experience the winter season for themselves. The purpose of this grant is to support local content creators who are producing high-quality, innovative multimedia content about Oregon that inspires travel to or around the state.

Women in Film Production Grant Accepting Applications!

BendFilm Women-Led Production Grant Deadline Aug 19
BendFilm is now accepting project applications for a women-led production to be filmed in Central Oregon. Female identifying filmmakers in the following counties are eligible to apply: Deschutes, Crook, Jefferson, Wasco, Wheeler, Lake and Klamath.

Winner Announced For #OregonMade Screenwriter’s Residency Award

Playa in the spring.August 6th, 2018: The OregonMade Creative Foundation, Northwest Film Center and Playa Summer Lake announce the winner for the 2nd annual Playa residency award.

The Screenwriter’s Residency program, now in its second year, received over 30 pitches, proposals and outlines from screenwriters, filmmakers and related creators focusing on a new take on an old genre – The Western. Projects needed to be set in the Northwest but not necessarily all in Oregon, while writers needed to be current Oregon residents. BendFilm’s “Women Filmmaker Production Fund” Is Up And Running

Help BendFilm fund the production of a local, women-led short film to be shot in Central Oregon. They only need $2,500 from this campaign to match a $2,500 grant from the Roundhouse Foundation. “The gender disparity in our industry is embarrassingly low and we need to be the spark that creates change!”

Here’s how the film production process will work:

– With your help, raise $2,500 through July 18th via this Seed&Spark Campaign.
