The 92nd Academy Awards nominees were announced this morning in Los Angeles. Congratulations to Laika and Annapurna Pictures on their Oscar nomination for, “Best Animated Feature” for the studio’s 5th feature, “Missing Link.”
Congratulations to Laika on their first Golden Globe win for “Best Animated Feature” with “Missing Link“. Laika beat out Disney’s, “Frozen 2” and “The Lion King”, DreamWorks Animation’s “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” and Disney/Pixar’s “Toy Story 4”.
The stop-motion feature was written and directed by Chris Butler and features the voices of Hugh Jackman, Zoe Saldana, Dabid Williams, Stephen Fry, Matt Lucas, Timothy Olyphant, Amrita Acharia, Emma Thompson and Zach Galifinakis.

Crofton Diack, Producer for National Geographic/BBC Studios on their series, “Life Below Zero,” was nominated for Outstanding Unstructured Realty Program.
Oregon Doc Camp Fellows will receive room and board at Oregon Doc Camp in Silver Falls Conference Center from May 30-June 2nd, as well as a half hour documentary consulting session with our esteemed presenter, Iyabo Boyd.
Jordan Kim, Ali Greer, Heather Capps & Stacy Moon were nominated this month for an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award for “Best Edited Comedy Series For Commercial TV” on their work on #OregonMade “Portlandia – Rose Route” (season 8, episode 10). One of the longest running award shows, the ACE Eddie Awards, recognizes outstanding editing in film, television and documentaries and will host its award ceremony in Los Angeles on February 1, 2019. Congrats “Portlandia”!
#OregonMade Coos Bay native, Jeff Whitty, has been nominated (with co-writer Nicole Holofcene) for and Oscar – “Writing – Best Adpated Screenplay” with “Can You Ever Forgive Me?” Whitty has already gathered 20 writing nominations and 6 wins with this project. Additionally, the film has collected two other Oscar nominations, “Best Performce in a Leading Role” (Melissa McCarthy) and “Best Performance in a Supporting Role” (Richard E. Grant).
