Iconic Ford Coupes Featured In Film

There have been many iconic Ford’s featured in films over the years, from the pioneering Ford Deuce Coupe in the 1973 classic American Graffiti to the high-performance Ford GT40 in the contemporary docu-film Ford v Ferrari. With the significant presence of both the automobile and film-making industries in the USA and considering Ford’s American origins, there’s no wonder to the numerous appearances of cool-looking Ford Coupes on the big screen.

Filming “Crossing Shaky Ground”

Sean McCarty hitches a ride.

During a business retreat, an epic earthquake hits Astoria Oregon, forcing Aaron (Sean McCarty) to set out on foot to reach home, unsure if he’ll survive the 725 mile journey and what he’ll find at the end. This year I’m releasing the most controversial feature film I’ve ever made, a movie that will probably make my broad-minded friends and family cringe because it refutes everything we believe about how to help less-educated, economically-challenged rural Americans. My intention with the film isn’t to anger the audience; it’s to help people from my cultural background understand why people vote against their best interests.

Production in the Age of Corona – A Specific Case Study

Filmmaker Chad Parker created a short series about staying at home that created and utilized a production process that adheres to the current social distancing and health & safety requirements still in place here in Oregon. Check out all three of these fun shorts and their process to get them planned, shot, edited and presented to us all.

“In times of great change, relevant messages are more important than ever. We aimed to find a safe way to produce them. We waited until after the curve had begun to flatten to have our shoot, and we operated within the distancing guidelines set forth in the Oregon executive order.

Getting Oregon Production Back to Work

With the Governor’s framework document for “Reopening Oregon” being released yesterday we have started to have specific conversations with filmmakers, producers, companies and partners like the OMPA, Portland Film Office, IATSE 488, SAG-AFTRA, & DGA about what safety protocols will now need to be in place for production, large and small, to resume here in Oregon.

To that end, we would encourage anyone with suggestions for what should be considered and/or included in these post-Covid production protocols to reach out to us with your thoughts.
