Governor Ted Kulongoski was in attendance and talked about the economic impact tourism has had on Oregon. For the third year in a row, the students of the Winter quarter Documentary Production class at the Art Institute of Portland won a position among the International Documentary Challenge finalists. The Doc Challenge is a 5-day international filmmaking competition that takes place each March.
The film, Death Goes Green, an intimate portrait of the pioneers of Oregon’s green burial movement, will premiere at the prestigious Hot Docs International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada on May 2nd, where it is up for additional commendations.
