#OregonMade Feature Film “Alone” Releases Tomorrow (Sept. 18)

The #OregonMade feature film ALONE is releasing tomorrow on over 170 screens (roughly 50 drive-ins), as well as on VOD.

Set in the Pacific Northwest wilderness, the film follows recently widowed Jessica who, fleeing the city in a desperate attempt to cope, is kidnapped and locked away in a mysterious man’s cabin. Her escape from the clutches of this murderous captor land her in the heart of the untamed wilderness, with only her wits to rely on for survival as her pursuer closes in.

#EOFF2020 Official Selections Announcement & Update

Eastern Oregon Film Festival will be celebrating its eleventh year of independent film and music programming VIA La Grande, Oregon on October 22-24, 2020. This year EOFF joins a trend that we are all becoming more accustomed to – virtual cinema. Working with Eventive, an event management platform, EOFF now has the means to deliver this year’s program to our growing audience in their homes, but also the potential to reach far more audience members than ever before.

The Berlin Bride was very fortunate to have premiered with a live audience in Germany and Chicago in November, and now, finally, Oregon filmmaker Michael Bartlett can share with us that the worldwide rights to his crazy little Portland – Berlin production has been acquired is premiering today on Amazon Prime with more countries to follow. Adventures On Set – Bruce Lawson On “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey”

Bruce Lawson, at the summit of Mount Howard with the canine co-stars of “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” – “Shadow” and “Chance.”

Disney’s, “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” has become a solid family favorite – it tells the story of three pets, two dogs and cat, “Shadow”, “Chance” and “Sassy,” who escape from a California ranch and travel together for miles over rough terrain in order to find their owners who had recently moved to San Francisco. Production started in 1992 and this feature shot most of its scenes at locations such as; Joseph, Eagle Cap, the Deschutes River, the Gorge, Portland and Central Oregon among others – all doing an admirable job standing in for the California Sierras and San Fransico. The film plays in a fun block of comedy shorts as part of the Portland Underground Film Festival at the historic Clinton Street Theater on Sunday, January 19th at 5pm.  The film will be followed by a Q and A with Director Josh Hoffman.

“Pig” #OregonMade, Starring Nicholas Cage and Alex Wolff

Oregon will be featured as the back drop for the new feature project, “Pig” which began production yesterday with Nicolas Cage and Alex Wolff starring. The story depicts a truffle hunter (Cage) who, “lives alone in the Oregonian wilderness and must return to his past in Portland in search of his beloved foraging pig after she is kidnapped.”

Michael Sarnoski is directing Cage, Alex Wolff in the feature that was written by Vanessa Block and Michael Sarnoski.

Chomp! PDX: A New Food & Film Festival in Portland

A night of eclectic films, food & beer. The mission of Chomp! is to explore our relationship to food through film. This inaugural event’s theme is horror.

Featuring short films by local artists Mila Zuo, Kelly Cox, and Cooper Johnson and more. Hosted by Dirk Marshall of the popular VHUS Podcast. Filmmakers will be on hand for Q&A and networking after the programming.
