The 21st Annual Bend Film Festival in 2024 comes to Bend October 10 through 13, 2024. Screen over 100 films from the Tower Theatre to Madras and join 125 filmmakers from all over the country.

#OregonMade “It’s What’s Inside” – Coming to Netflix October 4.

Netflix has dropped the first trailer for the Oregon shot feature film “It’s What’s Inside” which is being released exclusively on their platform on October 4th.

A group of friends gather for a pre-wedding party that descends into an existential nightmare when an estranged friend arrives with a mysterious game that awakens long-hidden secrets, desires, and grudges.

“To Die For” & “Kids” Film Set Photo Exhibit

Oregon Film is proud to sponsor an exhibit at Koerner Camera featuring photos from the sets of Gus Van Sant’s “To Die For” and Larry Clark’s “Kids” taken by #OregonMade cinematographer Eric Alan Edwards to celebrate the 30th anniversary of those film’s release.

#OregonMade WILD with Cheryl Strayed

Join us for a special 10th anniversary screening of WILD with author Cheryl Strayed in a conversation with Oregon Film’s Tim Williams about the making of the film here in Oregon. September 12 at 730p at the Hollywood Theatre.

Shot in 2013 and released in September of 2014, WILD displays Oregon in all of its glory (as well as doubling for the High Sierras and the California Desert). “The Art of the Pitch” Panel Coming September 5

Four panelists RaShaunda Brooks, Miró Merrill, Cassandra Nicholson, and Amy Polansky will discuss how to create compelling pitch decks and successful presentations on “The Art of the Pitch” a panel being hosted by Women in Film PDX.

There will be free giveaways and a community mixer that’s sure to make an eventful night. This event is open to all gender identities, backgrounds and experience levels.

#OregonMade “Strange Darling” in Theatres August 23

Magenta Light Studios will be giving Strange Darling a wide theatrical release in the United States on August 23rd – and a new trailer for the film has arrived online, along with a pair of posters.

Shot in Oregon last year, “Strange Darling” was written and directed by J.T. Mollner (Outlaws and Angels) and was produced by former Miramax CEO Bill Block, Chris Ivan Cevic, Steven Schneider, Roy Lee, and actor Giovanni Ribisi, who also served as the director of photography. OPIF Tax Credit Auction to be Held Sept 23 – 27, 2024

The Oregon Production Investment Fund (OPIF) annual tax credit auction will take place starting at 9a on Monday, September 23, 2024 and run for 5 days until 5p on Friday, September 27, 2024.

Each year, Oregon Film and the Oregon Department of Revenue auction off $20M of Oregon state tax credits in $500 increments at a minimum bid of 90% of face value. Announcing the 2024 WIF-PDX Vision Grant

WIF-PDX are excited to announce the 2024 Vision Grant! This year WIF-PDX will be awarding two filmmakers $5,000 each for their narrative or documentary short film in post-production.

The Vision Grant, now in its 12th year, has been a cornerstone of Women in Film PDX’s mission to foster creativity, innovation, and inclusivity within the film community. The grant is designed to provide financial support to emerging female and nonbinary filmmakers in the Portland Metro area, enabling them to bring their unique visions to the screen and contribute their diverse voices to the world of cinema.
