DisOrient Asian American Film Festival Returns in Feb-Mar

The 18th annual DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon is a hybrid festival with an exceptional line-up of both live and virtual film screenings as well as in-person filmmaker Q&A’s. All live screenings will be at the Art House in Eugene.

We launch our 2023 season with a Preview Screening on Feb. 24 (live) and Feb. 25-26 (virtual)! McMinnville Short Film Festival Opens this Weekend

MSFF runs from February 23 to February 27 in beautiful McMinnville.

Tag! Queer Shorts Festival 2023

Tag! Queer Shorts Festival (formerly Corvallis Queer Film Festival) is celebrating its 10th anniversary year with a return to live screenings at our new home venue, the Hollywood Theatre.

This year’s festival features four blocks of all-new queer short films from around the world spread over two days, March 4-5, 2023. The Saturday evening block, West Coast Chic, is the program to attend for the best local and regional submissions.

Portland’s Kurt Rosenberg Brings “The Moon Followed Me to Falmouth” To Oregon Short Film Festival

The Moon Followed Me to Falmouth” will have its  US in-person premiere on Feb. 26th at the Oregon Short Film Festival at the Clinton Street Theater.

The musical short film was Executive Produced by Portland-based composer and filmmaker Kurt Rosenberg, based on his song of the same name. It was brought to life with stunning animation by Joël Gibbs of ARMADA studio.

BendFilm and OUT Central Oregon To Launch New Festival

OUT IN FOCUS FilmFest looks to Celebrate LGBTQ+ Films and Filmmakers in Central Oregon

BendFilm, Inc and OUT Central Oregon have signed a joint venture agreement to create and launch the inaugural OUT IN FOCUS FilmFest.  The new annual film festival is scheduled for March 2-4, 2023 in Bend, Oregon and will bring filmmakers and films focused on celebrating LGBTQ+ life experiences, diversity in the outdoors, and include premieres of some of the best new films of the year.

Klamath Independent Film Festival includes Animal House extravaganza

For the 10th anniversary of the annual Klamath Independent Film Festival (KIFF), exclusively showcasing made-in-Oregon films, a grand celebration will commence honoring arguably the greatest comedy film in history and shot on location in Oregon – National Lampoon’s Animal House.

Taking place Sept. 16-18 at the Ross Ragland Theater in Klamath Falls and streaming online via Eventive, the film festival will feature over 30 films shot in Oregon or made by Oregon resident filmmakers, including several world premieres and multiple films made in the Klamath Basin.

Eastern Oregon Film Fest Official Selections Announcement

Eastern Oregon Film Festival will be celebrating its thirteenth year of independent film, music, and conversation in La Grande and has released the Official Selections for #EOFF2022.  The Festival opens Thursday, October 20 and runs through late Saturday Evening, October 22.

This year’s call for entries saw a record number of submissions, of which 33 films were selected for physical and virtual exhibition. Filmmakers whose work has been selected are invited to La Grande to celebrate with the EOFF community, connect with other artists, and represent their work in-person. BendFilm Announces Feature Films in Competition

BendFilm announced today the 20 feature films in competition categories from the 19th annual BendFilm Festival running October 6 – 23, 2022. Many filmmakers and producers are scheduled to attend the festival to host post-film discussions, participate in panels and enjoy Bend’s scenic beauty. BendFilm Festival is recognized by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences® as Oscar® qualifying for narrative, animated and indigenous short films.

Henry Selick’s “Wendell & Wild” To Premiere At TIFF

 

Henry Selick’s “Wendell & Wild” was the only animated film to make the recently announced Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) lineup. It will premiere in the Special Presentations section of the festival. “Wendell & Wild” is directed by Henry Selick, (“Coraline“) and co-created with writer and filmmaker Jordan Peele (“Get Out, Us”), Keegan-Michael Key, and Lyric Ross star (voice.)
