The Art of Makeup is an ongoing resource for continuing mentorship, networking, and community job placement assistance. Art of Makeup School for Professional Makeup Artistry is excited to announce a new series of summer classes, beginning on July 7th with Life Casting, Sculpting and Mold Making. This is a 7 day certificate program. Class includes all supplies needed, plus students will take home a facial life cast, a gel-foam appliance, a makeup palette, brushes, sculpting tools, clay and digital picture files of their final project. Senate Bill 836 will exempt hair and makeup artists working on professional photo shoots, film, television, or theater productions from unnecessary and unrelated licensing requirements, thereby helping Oregon remain competitive in these prospering industries. The Bill is now awaiting the Governor’s signature.
This bill will allow makeup artists to work on professional photo shoots and theatrical productions (film/tv) in Oregon without needing an esthetic license.
A hearing for Senate Bill #836 is scheduled for this Monday April 8, 2013 at 3pm – 5pm Hearing Room B

Daytime Schedule: October 29 – December 14 from 9am – 3pm
Classes can be taken individually or as an entire course
HALLOWEEN WORKSHOP with Christina Kortum on September 9, 2012 from 1-4pm Cost is $85 including supplies.
Limited space available for an incredible opportunity to be taught by top special fx artist Christina Kortum in a small four student sized classroom. Class starts Monday July 30th – Fri Aug. 3rd from 9am-3pm at Art of Makeup in Multnomah Village in SW Portland. Christina will teach bruises, cuts, wounds, scars, bullet holes, burns, small prosthetic application and removal, sickness, track marks, dirt and grime, tattoos and more.
