Portland Panorama returns for its second year at Cinema 21 and The Hollywood Theatre in Portland.

Built by artists for artists, we serve as a dynamic international hub for filmmaking, bridging global voices with Portland’s creative community to foster exchange, build connections, and showcase our city’s legacy as a premier destination for innovative art.

In addition to a celebration of the arts, our core focus is a two-part film festival. Portland Panorama begins by showcasing significant international cinema, then shifts mid-week to celebrate the work of filmmakers from the Pacific Northwest.

Come celebrate an advance release of the coolest creator-owned mech / monster comic of all time, THE 27 RUN: CLASH, with a special screening of GALAXY QUEST on April 12 at The Hollywood Theatre at 2:30PM sharp! (Signing starts at 2PM.)

The second annual Portland 48 Horror/Sci-Fi Competition is getting ready for blast-off and it’s going to be out of this world!

On April 24-26 Portland filmmakers will have the chance to boldly go where no filmmakers have gone before…the Portland 48HFP Horror & Sci Fi Zone! Choosing from such sci fi & horror genres as Time Travel, Demonic Possession, Alien Invasion, Slasher, and many more as they race the clock to complete their films in 48 hours!

All films will be premiered at the beautiful and historic Hollywood Theatre the following week!

For over two decades, the Ashland Independent Film Festival (AIFF) has brought audiences and filmmakers together to celebrate the power of story. We believe independent film is more than entertainment—it’s a catalyst for conversation and change.

From our home in beautiful Southern Oregon, AIFF has grown into a cornerstone of cultural life in the region, known for intimate screenings, engaging talkbacks, reflective experiences, and a strong sense of community. Each year, we present a carefully curated program of narratives, documentaries, and shorts—alongside forums, panels, annual programs and educational events that connect artists and audiences in meaningful ways.

Mayor Keith Wilson is proud to announce that Portland will host The Bridge: From Oregon to Industry, a new filmmaker workshop, with the Sundance Institute this May. The in-person intensive program, run by the Portland Events and Film Office at Prosper Portland and Oregon Film, will bring filmmakers across Oregon together with national and internationally recognized experts from Friday, May 8, to Sunday, May 10. Sundance Collab, Sundance Institute’s world-renowned online learning program, will host an online portion of the program.

HIS MONSTER, the haunting new #OregonMade feature from director Erich Cannon, will make its Oregon premiere at the Tomorrow Theater in Portland, Tuesday, March 17th and The Columbian Theater in Astoria Friday, March 20th at 7PM, introducing local movie fans and press to a chilling, character-driven genre film that blends psychological horror with raw emotional realism.

Coinciding with the market premiere, the film’s first international trailer has just been released, offering audiences an unsettling glimpse into its dark and emotionally charged world.
