The PA Pathways Training is intended for people who want to pursue a career in film and are looking to break into the industry. The class is a part of the Oregon Media Pathways Program and is a prerequisite for paid placements as a Production Assistant on professional projects.

Catalyst Film Collective‘s screenplay competition gives members a chance to win a production grant, support from our collective, in-kind donations, and an Executive Producer. All applicants receive feedback from a panel of professional screenwriters.

Locally Produced “The Exploding Boy” Now Available on Streaming Platforms

After a successful festival run, screening in multiple countries and winning numerous awards including Best Actor and Best Dramatic Feature at the Oregon Independent Film Festival, locally produced film “The Exploding Boy,” an independent film shot predominantly in Portland, Oregon, has received distribution, both domestically and internationally. The film is currently streaming on Prime Video, TLA Video, Fearless TV, and Vimeo, with more services, traditional channels, and a DVD release on the horizon.

#OregonMade “Little Wing” Comes To Paramount+ March 13

#OregonMade LITTLE WING, a heartwarming coming-of-age story from Awesomeness, will premiere on Wednesday, March 13, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, and the following day in the UK and Australia.

LITTLE WING follows Kaitlyn, a teen who is reeling from her parent’s divorce and the pending loss of her home. She and her best friend hope to solve her mother’s financial woes by stealing a valuable bird, but Kaitlyn, instead, forms a bond with the owner, that leads her to a new outlook on life.

Join the Oregon Film & Video Office, Portland Events & Film Office, and IATSE Local 488 for this free, online event to reduce harmful, intimidating, and inappropriate behavior and ensure safe working environments for all cast and crew. Bring your questions and participate in the discussion on March 13th from 3:00 – 5:00 pm PT.

Safety on set is everyone’s responsibility. But if something unsafe occurs, would you know how to report it? And perhaps more importantly, do you know how to prevent harmful behavior before it occurs?

#OregonMade Screenings at the Tomorrow Theatre in March

PAM CUT’s Tomorrow Theatre will be showing several Oregon related Films and Performances in March. Michael Palmieri and Donal Mosher’s beloved documentary “The Gospel of Eureka,” Astoria shot “Sometimes I Think About Dying” with Daisy Ridley and Kelly Reichardt’s “Showing Up” will be featured alongside screenings with support from Carla Rossi and local comedians and music videos.

Indigenous Media Guild Launches Website

The Indigenous Media Guild has launched a new site supporting its members along side strengthening its social media presence.  Oregon welcomes this new resource and encourages producers and creatives to check out their listings to find your next crew.

The new site is IndigenousMediaGuild.org and you cam find them @IndigenousMediaGuild on IG and FB.

IMG offers membership to both Indigenous/Native cast and crew, AND non native allies. All the information on membership can be found here – https://www.indigenousmediaguild.org/membership

In addition, IMG held a PA workshop over the weekend at Native American Youth and Family Center with the help of Outside the Frame.

#OregonMade “Point Break” at the Tomorrow Theatre Feb 24

To welcome in the King Tide tubes and help the ex-presidents finance an Endless Summer, the Tomorrow Theatre is screening “Point Break” as part of its “Night of 1000 Swayze’s” programming.  Join us to celebrate the rain of the Oregon Coast (specifically Indian Beach in Ecola State Park and downtown Wheeler) with Katherine Bigelow’s classic surf-thriller.

Oregon is the home to a drenched Swayze/Reeves fight on the north coast sands while waiting for a closed out set that came in from Hawaii but plays as Australia (our locations are just that flexible).

DisOrient Presents a Special Preview Screening of “My Partner”

This year, DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon invites you to join them in Eugene on Saturday, February 17 at the Art House Eugene for a preview screening of MY PARTNER, then March 8-10 for live screenings of over 60 films, and online March 11-17 for over 95 films screened virtually.

DisOrient will also have Opening and Closing Night Receptions at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art with food, entertainment, and conversation with filmmakers. Tickets are on sale now on the DisOrient website
