The dark comedy short film home sounds, which is inspired by writer/director Selin Sevinç’s experiences with depression in her early twenties in Turkey, is crowdfunding until April 29th as part of Seed & Spark AAPI Renaissance Rally. Produced by studio.pebble‘s Aaron Wong, the film will be shot in Portland in mid-May 2026 and will star Sebiye Behtiyar. Sebiye’s feature debut performance in PREPARATION FOR THE NEXT LIFE was nominated for Best Breakthrough Performance at the 2025 Gotham Awards and was on several best of 2025 lists.
